Zapier asks you to review what Claude can access before you allow it, and you choose when Claude can use each tool.

How to set up Zapier in Claude
Step 1
Ask Claude to connect
In a Claude chat, ask Claude to "Connect to Zapier MCP for me." Claude shows a Zapier card. Click Connect.
Step 2
Copy the prompt and allow access
On the Zapier authorization screen, click Copy prompt, then click Continue. Review what Claude can access, choose an account in the Account field if you have more than one, and click Allow. You return to Claude. In Claude Desktop, click Open Claude when your browser asks. Paste the prompt you copied.
Step 3
Choose what Claude can do
Open Settings > Connectors and select Zapier. Under Tool permissions, choose when Claude is allowed to use each tool. Then give Claude a task in any of your apps.

Does Claude work with Zapier?
Yes. Zapier is in the Claude Connectors Directory. Search for Zapier, click Connect, and approve the sign-in. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner must enable Zapier in Organization settings first.

It depends on the permission you set for each tool. You choose when Claude is allowed to use each Zapier tool in Settings > Connectors > Zapier.
Does the connection work in Claude Desktop and Cowork?
Yes. One connection covers Claude chat, Claude Desktop, and Cowork. If Zapier's tools don't appear in Claude Desktop, restart the app.
How do I disconnect Zapier from Claude?
Open Settings > Connectors > Zapier and click Disconnect. You can also see or remove access in your Zapier account.
