How to set up Zapier in ChatGPT
Step 1
Find Zapier in your workspace
If your workspace already added Zapier, start a new chat and select Zapier with @ or from the + menu. If Zapier is available but not installed, click Plugins in the sidebar, open your workspace's tab, and install Zapier first.Step 2
Or create your own Zapier plugin
If nobody has added Zapier yet, open your Security and login settings and turn on Developer mode. Go to Plugins, click + to create a new plugin, and name it "Zapier MCP". Pastehttps://mcp.zapier.com/api/v1/connectas the MCP server URL, leave the authentication setting as is, and click Create.Step 3
Sign in to Zapier
When ChatGPT prompts you, or after you click Connect on your new plugin, sign in to your Zapier account. If the Account field appears, select your organization's workspace.Step 4
Give ChatGPT its first task
In a chat, ask "@Zapier which tools do I have available?" ChatGPT lists the Zapier tools you can use. Then ask for something in one of your apps.

Can a workspace Owner add Zapier for everyone?
Yes. On a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace, an Owner creates Zapier as a custom MCP plugin, publishes it, and sets it to Installed for every member. Each member then signs in to their own Zapier account. This rollout needs a Zapier Enterprise account.
How do I disconnect Zapier from ChatGPT?
Revoke the connection in ChatGPT, or revoke it from your Zapier MCP dashboard at mcp.zapier.com.
