RSS Integration Details

Launched on Zapier March 3, 2012

Zapier combines Triggers (like "New Item in Feed") and Actions (like "Create Item in Feed") to complete an action in one app when a trigger occurs in another app. These combos—called "Zaps"—complete your tasks automatically.

The following RSS Triggers, Searches, and Actions are supported by Zapier:

New Item in Feed

Triggers on new RSS feed items.

New Items in Multiple Feeds

Triggers when there is a new item in any of the feeds being watched.

Create Item in Feed

Power your own Zapier RSS feed.

  • Post new RSS items to a Facebook Page

It's tedious to publish new blog posts to your business' Facebook Page. But, it's really important to share your message with your audience on your social media accounts. Let Zapier automatically post to your Facebook Page for you.

    How It Works

    1. A new article is posted to your chosen RSS feed
    2. Zapier automatically shares the new post on your Facebook Page

    What You Need

    • RSS feed URL

    2. You get an email so you can be the first to apply
  • Add cards to Chatfuel for Facebook with new RSS feed items

Don't waste your time adding content to your chat bot manually—Zapier can automate all of it. Once this integration is active, it will trigger with every new item that pops up on your RSS feed. The content will then be added as a card for your Chatfuel for Facebook bot, ensuring you never fall behind on content.

How this RSS-Chatfuel for Facebook integration works

    1. A new item is published to your RSS feed
    2. Zapier adds a new card to Chatfuel for Facebook

    Apps involved

    • Chatfuel for Facebook
  • Add new Facebook Pages posts to an RSS feed

Wish you could subscribe to your Facebook page with an RSS feed? Facebook doesn't offer RSS feeds, but Zapier can help you out. It automatically adds your new Facebook Page posts to an RSS feed, so you can share your Facebook Page posts with readers who don't have a Facebook account.

    How It Works

    1. A new post is made to Facebook Page.
    2. Zapier automatically adds post to your RSS feed.

    What You Need

    • A Facebook Pages account
    • An RSS reader app to test your feed
  • Publish Your RSS Feed to Twitter

You've already spent enough time writing a new post and tweaking the title until it's perfect. The last thing you want to do is have to take time to manually share it on your social networks. So let Zapier do it for you. This integration will automatically share your new blog posts or anything else from an RSS feed to Twitter so you'll never have to worry about sharing your posts manually again.

    How it Works

Zapier will watch your RSS feed for new posts. Whenever anything is published, it'll copy the title and link, and publish it on your Twitter account automatically.

    What You Need

    1. An RSS feed with recent posts
    2. A Twitter account

Got that? Then let's get started.

    How It Works

    1. Publish a new post to your blog.
    2. The post title and link are shared on your Twitter account.

    What You Need

    • A publicly accessible RSS feed. All popular blogging platforms offer RSS feeds (WordPress.com, Medium.com, Blogger, Tumblr, etc.)
    • A Twitter account.
  • Send a webhook when an RSS feed is updated

If you'd like a webhook to be sent when an RSS feed posts a new item, then Zapier can do that for you. Specify which RSS feed to monitor, then whenever it's updated, Zapier can send a webhook to a specified URL.
