Jasper vs. Copy.ai: Which is best? [2026]

By Ryan Kane · September 8, 2026

Jasper and Copy.ai were two of the first AI text generators to hit the market in the pre-ChatGPT days. (Remember a world without ChatGPT? Me neither.) But once chatbots became ubiquitous and ridiculously powerful, there wasn't much competitive advantage in being a slightly-prettier text generator.

As a result, both apps have pivoted upmarket: Copy.ai is now an AI go-to-market platform for sales, operations, and marketing teams, while Jasper is focused specifically on AI workflows for marketing teams. You can still sign up if you're a solo user, but that's not really the point of these apps anymore. They're much more collaborative and enterprise-y than they used to be.

If you are part of an organization and want to consolidate AI workflows across your team, you're squarely in the target demographic for both apps. Depending on your needs, both Jasper and Copy.ai have the potential to make your professional life more productive—although Copy.ai was acquired in late 2025, which has implications for your decision that we'll explore shortly.

I've spent lots of time in both apps, so here, I'll walk you through what each one can do and help you figure out which makes sense for you.

Jasper is now an AI platform for marketing teams

If you're an OG Jasper user, you'll probably recall that it once featured a robot mascot, a tech-infused design, and language about "creating blog posts 10x faster." No longer. Now, Jasper's homepage looks like the sort of thing you'd forward to your CMO while asking, "Do we have an AI marketing stack yet?"

The Jasper home page

But how different is the platform itself?

The first sign that you're in enterprise-land is that Jasper goes to great lengths to keep the content it generates aligned with your brand voice, audience, products, style guide, and brand guidelines. You can also upload company information to a knowledge base to boost accuracy. Jasper bundles all of these settings under the name Jasper IQ.

What makes this especially useful is the ability to add multiple brand voices, audiences, and visual guidelines, with granular details for each so anyone in your organization knows how to market to each segment. When you set up your audiences, for example, you can tag each one with buying triggers so your social media and content teams can easily understand how to target their messaging.

Creating content in Jasper will be familiar to anyone who's spent time with ChatGPT: there's a chatbot interface that serves as your go-to spot for anything you want to generate, from product descriptions to blog posts to full campaigns. Depending on what you ask for, Jasper either answers in Chat or hands your prompt to one of its agents. (I'll explain how that works in a minute.)

The Jasper chat interface

After you've generated the first iteration of your content, you can ask Jasper to refine it. And since Jasper is designed to help you create everything you need for marketing campaigns, you'll also see follow-up prompt suggestions like "Create Instagram ad copy using this description."

The challenge with AI these days is not so much generating content but figuring out what to do with it once you have it. Jasper attempts to address this issue with Canvas, an infinite marketing canvas where you can drop all of your assets and organize them into sections.

Jasper Canvas

You can quickly build out your marketing plan by using specialized agents to handle tasks like running competitor audits or designing email sequences. Jasper has over 100 prebuilt agents to choose from, and you can also create your own using a tool called Jasper Studio.

Apps (aka templates) in Jasper

Jasper's most advanced agents handle multi-step, intensive tasks like optimization, research, or translation. But the rest of them deal with simpler asset creation tasks rather than autonomous action, so the label "agents" is probably a bit generous. The Welcome Email agent, for example, is essentially a structured intake form for generating a welcome email with AI—though, because this is Jasper, it also takes your brand voice and lots of other context into account.

Most of what I've covered so far, aside from the ability to build your own agents, is available on the Pro plan. But where things get really interesting for bigger teams is the Business plan, which includes features like:

  • Jasper Grid, a spreadsheet-style system for scaling content production

  • GEO Agent and Hub, for auditing AI visibility, detecting brand misrepresentation, and defining what your team should do next

  • Image pipelines, for automating the creation of on-brand product images

  • Translation Agent, for localizing brand-friendly content into 27 languages

Regardless of the activities you're trying to scale, you'll probably end up using Jasper Grid. It lets you assign a column to each task you need to do (like "Optimize blog for AEO" or "Translate to French"), and it's easy to run workflows and agents by simply selecting the appropriate spot in the grid, or clicking "Run all."

By adding variables like Audience, you can make the output even more specific. Your product descriptions, for example, can account for your product specs, brand voice, and target demographics, while using a Product Description Agent to bring everything into a pre-approved format.

You can connect Jasper with Zapier to expand your marketing automation possibilities even further. For example, Jasper can take data from your project management app, use it to draft a blog post, and then output it as a Google Doc that's stored in Google Drive. Build AI-powered, fully automated systems by connecting Jasper to the rest of your tech stack. Here's some more inspiration for how to automate Jasper.

Copy.ai is an AI go-to-market platform for enterprises—and it's been acquired

If you're considering Copy.ai, the first thing you need to know is that it was acquired by Fullcast, a RevOps platform, in October 2025. While you can still sign up for new plans, Copy.ai doesn't seem to be in active development anymore (the most recent product update happened in June 2025). Its team now works for Fullcast, which is integrating Copy.ai into its ecosystem.

Because of that, I'll be more forthright than usual: you probably don't want to sign up for Copy.ai right now.

That said, if you're a go-to-market leader, it's still worth knowing what Copy.ai can do since its features are in the process of getting absorbed into Fullcast. The resulting platform is meant to integrate Copy.ai's content and GTM workflows with granular sales territory data, so it may be worth keeping on your radar.

With that in mind, here's what you need to know about Copy.ai as it stands today.

Copy.ai used to be a straightforward content generation tool, and if you sign up for its entry-level Chat plan, that's still more or less what it looks like.

Of course, most of these features—brand voice, real-time search, and the like—are available directly in Claude and ChatGPT these days, so there's no real reason to use Copy.ai if you're only here for the chat interface. I also noticed that the AI models Copy.ai gave me access to were 6-12 months behind the current flagship releases. You do get unlimited usage, 5 team members, and a shared workspace, which can make it more cost-effective than buying a team plan directly from one of the big AI labs.

But the real point of Copy.ai is the broader AI go-to-market (GTM) platform it plugs into. Instead of performing "random acts of AI" (to use a phrase I quite like from Copy.ai's website), the idea is to systematize your GTM efforts and consciously decide where humans and AI fit into each part of the process.

Before you create any systems, though, you'll need to set up an "intelligence layer" by designing a brand voice, creating a knowledge base with information about your company, and loading GTM data (like sales leads) into Copy.ai's Tables.

From there, you can launch workflows that pull from the underlying data you've set up. Workflows are focused on GTM processes like account research, deal health, sales call insights, and content generation.

You can also use Copy.ai's Content Agent Studio to build specialized agents that are designed to create specific types of assets. The neat thing to know here is that you can upload gold-standard examples for each content type, so there's never a question about the formatting or style you're shooting for.

You can string workflows, agents, and tables together to tackle the time-consuming sales tasks, like researching companies and verifying email addresses, that slow your work down.

If you're already a Copy.ai customer and you want to extend the platform's capabilities, you can use Zapier's Copy.ai integration to connect it with 9,000+ other apps so you can orchestrate the rest of your sales-related workflows. Learn more about how to automate Copy.ai.

Both apps are priced for enterprise users

Forgive me for repeating myself, but I think it's really worth driving this point home because until a few years ago, Jasper and Copy.ai both targeted solo users and small businesses. Now, both platforms are built for enterprise customers, and their pricing has shifted accordingly.

You can still sign up for either app as a solo user, but you only get a taste of the full platform experience. Jasper's Pro plan, at $59/month billed annually, includes one seat, content creation tools, marketing agents, and two brand voices. Copy.ai's self-serve Chat plan is especially limited: for $24/month billed annually, you get five seats, brand voices, and the ability to use Copy.ai as a chatbot to generate content.

Serious users will need to pay up for access to the full platform.

Copy.ai's Enterprise plan starts at $1,000/month billed annually, and includes 75 seats and 20,000 workflow credits. For $211/month billed annually, there's also an Agents plan with 10 seats, AI workflows, and access to Content Agent Studio. (You might not see the Agents plan on Copy.ai's pricing page, but it's presented as an upgrade path after you sign up.)

Jasper's Business plan, which requires you to contact the sales team for pricing, offers a no-code agent builder, advanced marketing agents (for workflows like GEO and translations), Jasper Grid, unlimited Jasper IQ customization, API access, and enterprise admin controls.

You can try out Jasper Pro with a free 7-day trial, but with Copy.ai, you'll need to pay for a month to give it a test drive.

Jasper vs. Copy.ai: Which should you choose?

Until recently, Copy.ai was a strong candidate for go-to-market teams consolidating their GTM workflows into one platform. But since its acquisition in October 2025, Copy.ai has stopped releasing new features, and its team has moved over to Fullcast. That makes it hard to recommend signing up for today.

Jasper, on the other hand, shows no signs of slowing down. It releases product updates monthly and offers 100+ specialized marketing agents, granular brand guidelines and audience profiles, and content pipelines that bring everything together at scale. It's a strong option for enterprise marketing teams, and while it's not meant to be a full GTM stack, it also includes some sales and product marketing agents.

Or, if you're looking for something that will tie all your GTM work together across 9,000+ apps, you can use Zapier to create AI workflows that span your entire tech stack—including Jasper and Copy.ai.
