Frequently Asked Questions about Contacts+ + Microsoft Outlook integrations
New to automation with Zapier? You're not alone. Here are some answers to common questions about how Zapier works with Contacts+ and Microsoft Outlook
What are the required steps to integrate Contacts+ with Microsoft Outlook?
To integrate Contacts+ with Microsoft Outlook, you'll need to set up a Zap in our system. Start by selecting Contacts+ as your trigger app and choose a trigger event such as 'New Contact Added'. Next, select Microsoft Outlook as your action app and select an action event like 'Create Contact'. Each time a new contact is added in Contacts+, it will automatically be added to your Microsoft Outlook.
Can I update existing contacts in Outlook using the integration?
Currently, our integration supports creating new contacts in Microsoft Outlook when a new contact is added in Contacts+. Updating existing contacts through this integration isn't supported at this time. You may need to manually make updates directly in Outlook.
Is it possible to sync only specific contacts between Contacts+ and Outlook?
Yes, you can set filters within the Zap setup process. By defining specific conditions or criteria, only contacts that meet those conditions will be synced from Contacts+ to Microsoft Outlook.
Are there any limitations on the number of contacts I can sync between the two platforms?
Our platform does not impose limitations on the number of contacts you can sync; however, you should check any limitations that may exist within either Contacts+ or Microsoft Outlook itself regarding storage capacity or allowable entries.
How frequently does the synchronization occur once set up?
The synchronization frequency depends on the plan you have with us. With most plans, Zaps run every 15 minutes. It means updates made will be reflected within this timeframe.
What happens if there's an error during synchronization?
If an error occurs during the syncing process, our system will attempt to notify you through email or dashboard alerts. Typically, errors include failed authentication or incorrect field mapping. You can troubleshoot these issues based on alert messages provided by us.
Do I need any special permissions in either app for this integration?
Yes, ensure that you have administrative rights or necessary permissions in both Contacts+ and Microsoft Outlook to authorize data access and perform actions such as adding a contact via our platform.
