Get More Space and Security With the New Dropbox Pro
It’s the year for cheap online storage. Google first dropped the price of 1TB of storage on Google Drive to just $9.99/month, then Microsoft added 1TB of Onedrive storage to Office 365 subscriptions. And now, if you’re a Dropbox user, you don’t have to be tempted to switch services anymore, as Dropbox Pro has just been upgraded to include 1TB of storage for the same $9.99/month.
There’s more, too. In addition to getting 10 times more storage for the same price, Dropbox Pro also now comes with some great new security and sharing features. You can now add passwords to shared files, to make sure your file is only seen by the people you want. There’s also a new option to set an expiration for shared files, or to only share a read-only view of a file. That’s a great way to share documents without having to worry that someone will accidentally change something.
Then, Dropbox Pro now also gives you the remote wipe feature that was previously only in Dropbox for business. If your computer is lost or stolen, you can remotely delete everything from Dropbox to keep your data safe. And, if you want to make sure you never lose a file, even if you deleted it months ago, you can still enable Extended Version History—formerly known as Packrat—for $3.99/month. Business users aren’t left behind, either: for $15/user/month, you’ll get all the great new features, plus 1TB of storage per user and Extended version history thrown in.
Dropbox has long been one of the simplest ways to keep your files synced, and with 1TB of storage along with the great new features, it’s a great time to go Pro. Be sure to check out the Dropbox blog post for more details, or go ahead and upgrade your account. Then, you can use Zapier to help you fill up your newfound space automatically with the files and data from your other apps.
