A note from Wade Foster, Zapier CEO: On my first call with Thomas Hils, he nonchalantly described how he supports three very different products as part of his current gig and to make things easier on himself he'd tried to learn how to code. Since support for Zapier entails supporting hundreds of products and also digging into technical details, I knew Thomas would fit right in. But after working with him for a few weeks it's clear, Thomas is the kind of genuine person we look for, too. I'm excited to have Thomas join the Zapier team and cover support for our customers in the Pacific Time Zone.
Hey everyone! My name is Thomas Hils and I'm excited to join the Zapier support team as one of the newest Customer Champions. If you reach out to us for help, you might just get a reply from me.
I'm a typical nerd born and raised in the beautiful but tiny state of Connecticut. I happily work from the city of New Haven which has been my home for the last 5 years.
I dig working remotely, cold brew coffee, and spending an inordinate amount of time with my cats. When not in front of my computer I enjoy reading, taking hikes in the woods and looking both ways before crossing the street.
I've spent the last 5 years doing support in technical environments helping customers in a broad range of industries from a worldwide insurance company to a local beer distributor. My last gig was a remote job supporting a trio of wildly different SaaS applications that threw me into the deep-end of startup support. I've recently completed a front-end development apprenticeship in my personal quest to learn to code. I look forward to pestering the excellent Zapier developers with questions as I continue to blindly work my way through projects.
I'm excited to help you become the web super hero I know you are and to guide you into the wonderful future of automation! I deeply enjoy solving problems for customers and finding elegant solutions to save time in their every day workflows. I'm am continuously blown away by the amazing things people are doing with Zaps and can't wait to learn more.
I am fascinated with technology and Zapier has been a great way to feed my addiction! Spending time surrounded by so many bright and motivated tech enthusiasts keeps me up-to-date on the coolest new apps and gear (and I couldn't be happier because of it.) In my spare time I've even found myself crafting Zaps. (RSS feeds of my favorite Soundcloud artists downloaded right to my Google Drive? Perfect.)
