Formatter Integration Details

Launched on Zapier January 23, 2016

Zapier combines Triggers (like "New Subscriber") and Actions (like "Numbers") to complete an action in one app when a trigger occurs in another app. These combos—called "Zaps"—complete your tasks automatically.

The following Formatter Triggers, Searches, and Actions are supported by Zapier:

Numbers

Work with numeric data to do math operations, reformat currencies, and more (with line-item support).

Utilities

Various utilities like "choose value from list" or "look up in table" (with line-item support).

Date / Time

Work with dates and times to change formatting or add/subtract time (with line-item support).

Text

Work with text data to find & replace, capitalize, remove HTML, and more (with line-item support).

    Add new Google Contacts with name, email, and phone number from new Gmail emails

    Want a quick way to keep your Google Contacts up-to-date with everyone new you email? Zapier can help. Set up this Zap, and whenever someone emails you, Zapier can copy their name and email address from the message—and then with a Formatter step, it can find their phone number if it's mentioned in the email text or signature.     Add Acuity appointments to ONTRAPORT Contacts. Create a custom date field for the appointment date, and a custom text field for the appointment time in ONTRAPORT before using this Zap. Zapier can then match the email address in the Acuity appointment registration with a new or existing ONTRAPORT Contact and update the fields with the appointment information.

  • Add new Calendly attendees to ONTRAPORT

    Add Calendly appointment details to ONTRAPORT Contacts. Add a custom date field and a custom text field to ONTRAPORT before adding this Zap. Zapier will populate the custom date field and custom text field with the date and time of the appointment, and can add a Tag or subscribe the Contact to an ONTRAPORT Sequence. If the Contact does not already exist in ONTRAPORT Zapier will create a new Contact.

    Note: This Zapier integration doesn't import existing Calendly attendees into ONTRAPORT, only new attendees after you've set it up. Calendly must have an email address for the attendee to match with ONTRAPORT, and you must create the custom date field and custom text field in ONTRAPORT to hold the date and time of the appointment.

    How this Calendly-ONTRAPORT integration works:

    2. Zapier adds that new attendee information to a new or existing Contact Record in ONTRAPORT

  • Send emails with new notes from OneNote through Gmail

    You don't have to slow down your rhythm just to let others know what you're working on. After you've turned on this automation, Zapier will do that for you. It will trigger with every new note you add to a section on OneNote, automatically sending out an email from Gmail with the details and anything else you want your recipients to know.

  • Add new inbound Gmail emails as contacts in ONTRAPORT

    Add Gmail senders to ONTRAPORT as new Contacts when you tag an email. Create a Tag in Gmail named "Add to ONTRAPORT" and apply that tag within two days of receiving the email. Zapier will add the sender to ONTRAPORT as a new Contact.

    Note: This integration only works if you add the Tag to a received email within two days of receipt. It cannot add all existing Gmail contacts to ONTRAPORT.

    1. You add the tag "Add to ONTRAPORT" to an email received in Gmail within the last two days
    2. The Zapier Text Formatter splits the Name field into "First Name"
    3. The Zapier Text Formatter splits the Name field into "Last Name"
    4. Zapier uses the Email address from the email, and the First and Last Name from the Text Formatter to create a new Contact in ONTRAPORT.

  • Add tasks to Wrike from new notes on OneNote

    If you can track all your important research, you can make sure you action all the important items. Zapier can save you time doing it, too! This integration will trigger when you create a new note on a particular section in OneNote, and capture the details. They will be used to create a task on Wrike for you, including everything you need to check off when you're ready.

  • Create or update events on Google Calendar for new or updated Artichoke appointments

    Rather having to log into multiple accounts to get a quick view of your personal and work schedule, use Zapier to create or update a Google Calendar event each time your create or update an appointment in Artichoke. You'll still manage your work schedule and clients inside Artichoke, but now you'll be able to view it along side your other scheduled events in Google Calendar.

    Note: This Zapier integration doesn't import already created appointments into Google Calendar - only new appointments after you've set it up.
