Get to know BambooHR

At the heart of the app is a company directory, which holds all possible information about your employees: personal details, job description, compensation history, time-off available, emergency contact, documents submitted, benefits, completed trainings, assets given, and onboarding tasks completed. Thanks to this centralized database, there's no need to juggle a dozen spreadsheets.

BambooHR's Hiring tab simplifies the hiring process. To post a new job, simply click the Add Job Opening button, and enter details, customized questions, and more. Once ready, your job will be posted to your company job board, as well as free job portals such as Glassdoor and Indeed.

Once you've posted a job, it's time to track applicants. BambooHR shows you each applicant's personal details, application, resume, and references. As you review different applicants, you can assign whether they've been reviewed, phone screened, interviewed, put on hold, or if you're checking their references or have sent an offer. There's also an option to leave comments at different stages of the hiring process, so everyone on your team is always in the loop. And all email exchanges with the candidate are stored in the app for future reference.

Under the Reports tab, you'll see various standard reports such as salary history for each employee, benefit summary, gender profile, job history, and so on. It's also possible to create custom reports based on personal information and other employee data. You can use the Files tab to easily access company documentation, such as new hire forms and the company handbook.

At the top right corner, you'll find the Settings page that lets you customize the app. Here, you you can choose which employees can access which information in your BambooHR portal. BambooHR is as much for your employees as it is for you, and this level of customization allows you to take full advantage of all the features.

Also in Settings, you can create a net promoter score survey and send it to employees, upload email and offer letter templates, and assign tasks to new employees to be completed during the onboarding process.

On the homepage, there's a handy Who's Out calendar, tracking employees who are out of the office so everyone can see who's around. Employees can check their available paid time-off and send requests to their supervisor from within the app.
