We're looking for someone who's eager to tell the stories of how Zapier customers use workflow automation to do more with their time. 1.5 million professionals around the world use Zapier to connect their favorite web tools together and get more out of their work days. We want you to introduce them to the world.

About You

  • Writing is a pleasure and a skill you sharpen non-stop. You understand the power of a well-told story. Vivid writing and clear examples are tools you use to make daunting topics feel simple.

  • Curiosity is a constant. It's not enough to know whether a new business practice works—you want to find out exactly how and why. You excel at asking the right questions and, most importantly, listening to the answers to turn them into inspiring pieces.

  • Efficiency impacts outcomes. You consistently automate time-consuming processes to free up time for more meaningful work.

  • Publishing and promotion go hand-in-hand. Deadlines, editorial calendars, and creative content promotion—these items are music to your ears.

  • Web apps are familiar territory. You're comfortable writing about business tools and how they are used in professionals' everyday workflows.

  • Relationship-building is important to a good story. You don't hesitate to reach out to customers, hold live interviews, and follow-up persistently in order to get the best narrative possible.

  • Action beats inactivity. When you're given a task, you take ownership and find an effective way to complete it, whether or not it requires dozens of Google searches.

Things You Might Do

Zapier is a startup, so you'll get experience with a little bit of everything. That said, here are some things you'll get to work on:

  • Create multiple customer stories each week: anything ranging from long-form blog posts to bite-sized video testimonials
  • Research how customers simplify complicated workflows between 750+ apps and explain how to others how to do the same
  • Approach and interview hundreds of customers via email, phone, or video
  • Maintain a database of all customer interviews and create a process for using the database
  • Work closely with Zapier's editorial, partnerships, product marketing, and PR teams to fit customer stories into Zapier's overall marketing strategy
  • As a part of Zapier's all-hands philosophy, help customers via support to ensure they have the best experience possible

The Marketing team currently has team members in Iowa, Texas, North Carolina, Oregon, New York, Florida, Arizona, Minnesota, British Columbia, Malaysia and Thailand.
