We're looking for a People Ops Tech Lead to own our People tech stack, and support our internal customers through data insights. This is a hybrid role that is part project manager and part data analyst.

The People Ops Tech Lead will play an integral role in formulating our people tech roadmap to ensure the tools we use set us up for scale. Among others, you’ll partner with the Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Learning and Development teams to ensure consistent and accurate data collection and analysis. You’ll report to the Sr. People Business Partner.

About You

  • You have 8+ years of total working experience 
  • You are a customer-oriented individual, with substantial project management skills, who has the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
  • You balance your time well. You hold yourself accountable and follow through on your work.
  • You have experience generating high-quality data on people operations and performing quality control checks
  • You have a proven ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and meet all goals on time. 
  • Communicate and influence effectively to a variety of (technical and non-technical) audiences in writing and verbally through various ways, including group presentations and one-on-one.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily. 
  • You are resourceful. You're willing to find the answers to questions but ask for help when needed.
  • You have effectively collaborated with a diverse team of people and optimized their success.
  • You are current on business applications (HRIS, PEO, data tools, etc), and trends in People technology and have experience evaluating and implementing innovative, scalable People solutions.
  • You have experience automating with Zapier, or are tech-savvy enough to quickly learn Zapier.
  • You have holistic and working knowledge and experience of the People and related functions, and the systems, applications/tools that support them.

Things You’ll Do

Zapier is a fast-growing and 100% remote company, so you'll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization. That said, here are some things you'll probably do:

  • Collaborate across the Operations team to implement systems to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Formulate and execute a three-year People technology roadmap, including but not limited to systems improvement, implementation, and how and when to share people metrics.
  • Create and maintain our People Ops data dashboard, reporting on metrics needed to support decision making and to create business insights.
  • Diversity, inclusion, belonging & equity - Maintain data models that enable Zapien’s to self identify.
  • Improve and automate our People Ops workflows to ensure scalability.
  • Implement tools that grow the Team Member experience at Zapier.
  • Ensure seamless data sharing from single sources of truth (HRIS, PEO) to ancillary systems (payroll, financial planning).
  • Own Zapier’s People Ops support tool (Halp) to streamline questions from multiple sources, and report on ticket resolution and user experience metrics.
  • Partner with Talent Strategy and Operations to ensure consistency in data collection and reporting.
  • Keep confidentiality in mind with all the projects and automations, and maintain data integrity.
