Automate Research by Integrating Your Apps with Quip
Word processors today look much like they have for the past several decades. There's a row of menus and icons with tools and settings, followed by a fake paper copy of your document on a faux desk background. It's a dated metaphor, one we've used so long we're used to it.
Quip threw all that away, and built a word processor that's fully modern. It shows your documents without any toolbars, and moved all of the text editing tools to a toolbar that shows up when you select documents. Then, it lets you easily collaborate on the documents with anyone else, and shows all the changes in snippets on the side.
It's most powerful feature, though, just might be the in-app messaging. While you're editing documents, you can send messages to your collaborators—and it's that feature that's now integrated with Zapier. You can have any of the hundreds of apps that work with Zapier send messages to you in Quip.
You can automatically be notified when new research documents are added to Dropbox, breaking news is announced on Twitter, or when someone fills out your form. And more—check the Quip Zapbook page for other great ways to integrate all your apps into your writing process.
