Updates to Our MailChimp Integration: Segment Your Subscriber List, plus Instantly Trigger Your MailChimp Zaps

We are always updating our MailChimp integration, so you have the best options for automating your email marketing workflows. For example, the Zapier + MailChimp integration now works with MailChimp API 3.0, meaning the integration works even faster now.

When there are new subscribers, updated subscribers, or new unsubscribers in MailChimp, Zapier will now pick up on it instantly. Thanks to new instant Triggers, you won't need to wait five to 15 minutes for your Zaps to kick off. No matter what Zapier plan you're on, you can set up these instant MailChimp Zaps.

Also new to our MailChimp integration is support of segments. You can now kick off Zaps when there are new subscribers to a certain segment of your MailChimp list. This allows you to automate customized workflows for each segment, like personalized follow-ups to subscribers based on where they are in the marketing funnel. Plus, you can now set up Zaps that automatically create subscribers in certain MailChimp segments. That way, your subscribers are exactly where you want them to be without you manually organizing them.

Another update to the Zapier + MailChimp integration gives you more ways to store information that subscribers give you upon sign up. Now, when creating or updating subscribers in your MailChimp list, Zapier will include numerical information in merge tags on those subscribers' records. That means you can include subscribers' ages or important milestones like their sign-up dates, then customize your campaigns later based on that numerical info.

What's New with the MailChimp + Zapier Integration

New Triggers and Options for Triggers

  • New Subscriber in Segment: Triggers when a subscriber is added to a segment within a list.
  • Your Zaps using the New Subscriber, New Unsubscriber, or Updated Subscriber Triggers will now trigger instantly, instead of waiting five to 15 minutes to trigger.

New Actions and Options for Actions

  • Add Subscriber to Segment: Automatically add an email address to a static segment.
  • Your Zaps using the Add/Update Subscriber Action can now include numerical merge tags in subscribers' records.
