Zapier Partner Code of Conduct

Posted Date: July 21, 2025

Zapier partners, including: (a) individuals and entities registered with the Zapier Solution Partners Program, formerly known as the Zapier Experts Program and have received the designation of “Zapier Solution Partner,” or formerly “Expert”) (“Solution Partners”); and (b) partners registered with the Zapier Referral Program referring customers to Zapier (“Referral Partners”) are expected to comply with this Code of Conduct (the “Code”) at all times. Zapier may update the Code from time to time in its sole discretion. Zapier partners are expected to adhere to the most recent version posted to this webpage.

The goal of Zapier partners is to help users unlock the power of automation through the Zapier platform, whether through providing them with Solution Partner services, referring them to Zapier, or otherwise. Zapier partners should conduct their business and activities with this goal in mind and aspire to provide their clients with positive experiences that will reflect well upon both the Zapier partner and Zapier.

1. Prohibited Activities

Zapier has determined that certain practices are inconsistent with this goal, prohibited by applicable law, excessively risky to either Zapier users or Zapier itself, and/or are otherwise incompatible with Zapier’s values. For this reason, Zapier partners may not:

a. Promote or engage in any illegal activities or the violation of another party’s intellectual property rights.

b. Engage in any false, deceptive, disparaging, or misleading practice involving either their or Zapier’s offerings.

c. Participate in the promotion, advertising, marketing, or sale of any imitation of Zapier’s offerings.

d. Impersonate and/or market under Zapier’s marks and other intellectual property, including creating websites using Zapier’s name or marks.

e. Copy, use, or otherwise distribute Zapier’s content in connection with their marketing (except as expressly permitted by Zapier).

f. Send spam or bulk emails to market or otherwise promote their or Zapier’s offerings.

g. Represent themselves as Zapier employees or use Zapier’s marks to mislead potential clients into believing they are endorsed by Zapier (beyond their particular program designation) or employed by Zapier.

h. Steal, misappropriate, or otherwise use or disclose without permission any information provided by a client, including login credentials, business plans, or other information.

i. Disseminate content advocating discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected category under applicable law.

j. Use profanity, vulgarity, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable words or phrases in connection with their business or services.

k. Make or authorize proposals, representations, warranties, guarantees, or other communications related to Zapier’s offerings that are inconsistent with Zapier’s standard terms and policies, or which have not been approved or otherwise authorized by Zapier in writing.

l. Be employed by or provide consulting services for a competitor of Zapier as determined in Zapier’s sole discretion (for the avoidance of doubt, this does not include participation in a competitor’s partner program).

m. For Zapier Solution Partners specifically, sell, disclose, or otherwise use any customer leads provided by Zapier for any purpose other than directly to provide services to the customer in question. For the avoidance of doubt, customer leads provided by Zapier may not be shared with anyone outside of your company, such as with other Solution Partners.

n. For Zapier Solution Partners specifically, violate the Zapier Solution Partner Brand guidelines, which are detailed in our partner portal.

2. Communications and Activity

a. Communications. Zapier expects Zapier partners to treat others, including their customers, other Zapier partners, and Zapier staff, with respect, professionalism, and courtesy at all times. Aggressive, overly argumentative, and/or unprofessional behavior is strictly prohibited, including without limitation, using profanity or explicit language.

b. Activity. Zapier Solutions Partners are also expected to maintain an active status in the Zapier Solution Partner Program by meeting certain engagement criteria, which are detailed in our partner portal.

3. Program Issues

Zapier partners may communicate issues regarding their program per the instructions located on the Zapier partner support page.  If a Zapier partner believes their issue has not been addressed properly through this channel, then they may request an escalation to Zapier’s Head of Channel Partnerships.  Excessive escalations and/or escalations inconsistent with this process are a violation of the Code, including without limitation, mass emailing or contacting other Zapier staff regarding program issues (such escalations will only delay the resolution of issues).

4. Consequences

Violations of the Code are carefully reviewed and consequences are determined on a case-by-case basis. For confidentiality reasons, Zapier staff are not able to discuss or share details about actions taken against or outcomes of investigations of other members of Zapier partner programs. Actions may include, but are not limited to:

a. Written Warning. This is usually the first type of warning that a Zapier partner will receive, though Zapier reserves the right to proceed immediately to removal from the applicable partner program (such as Solution Partner or Referral) and ineligibility for other Zapier partner programs depending on the severity of a violation. In this case, the Zapier partner will receive a message via direct message or email which will outline the violation that occurred. Future violations will typically result in either a temporary or permanent suspension of the Zapier partner’s access to the applicable partner program, their designation as a Zapier Solution Partner or Referral Partner (as applicable), and removal of their directory listing.

b. Removal from Applicable Partner Program. This more serious consequence is where a person is completely removed from the applicable partner program (such as Solution Partner or Referral), including removal of their designation as a Solution Partner or Referral Partner, directory listing, Slack channels access (when applicable), community lounge, and tooling access. The removed Zapier partner may not circumvent this action by submitting a new application, by using a shared or alternate account to disguise their identity, or speaking through another member.
