Star a Slack Message to Create a Trello Card, Todoist Task, Basecamp To-Do and More
Team communication tool Slack now offers two new Triggers, including a highly-requested "New Starred Message." Now when you star a message—whether it be in a public or private channel, including @slackbot—you can trigger activity in another app. Use this added "New Starred Message" to create tasks elsewhere, kick off an email to a colleague or keep a running list of starred messages in a Evernote note or Google Sheets spreadsheet.
A "New User" Trigger is also now available on Slack, giving you the ability to quickly welcome new members of a Slack group, keep a log of them elsewhere or email them a welcome note after they've joined.

Also new for Slack: You now have the ability to upload a file when using the "Create New Message" Action.
To do so, just select the image URL provided by the Trigger service, such as the image URL of an Instagram photo.
