Microsoft’s Visual Studio Online, a collection of developer services, is now integrated with Zapier, meaning you can connect the online home of your development projects to the many business apps you use.

This integration, as Microsoft Technical Fellow Brian Harry says on his blog, makes it easy to wire up service hook event producers to consumers. Doing so can automate the creation of a task in Asana or a card in Trello when you complete a new Visual Studio build. Or when you create a new card in Trello, you can automatically add a link to a work item in Visual Studio.

Here’s a look at some of the integration possibilities. For more, check out the Visual Studio Online Zapbook page.

How to use this integration

  1. Sign in to your Visual Studio Online account account—make sure you have a Zapier account, too
  2. Connect your Visual Studio Online account to Zapier
  3. Check out a few of the pre-made Visual Studio Online Zaps or
  4. Start creating your own
