Audio Transcription is Now a Cinch with CastingWords and Zapier

Please note that as of October 2022, this app no longer integrates with Zapier.

At the drop of an audio file into a folder, an audio transcription order begins to process. That's the new workflow for users of CastingWords, a transcription service whose customers include the Wall Street Journal, BBC and ABC. (With plans that start at $1 per minute they work with the little guys, too!)

Here’s how it works: CastingWords users select a recording and place it in a Dropbox, Box or SkyDrive folder—they wait—and voilà, the transcription is done.

CastingWords users can also have a Google Doc auto-update to show their latest transcript or configure an instant messaging client to ping them when their transcript is done. Here’s a glance at more options. For a complete list see the service’s Zapbook page.
