Asana emoji custom field

Tasks aren't binary, incomplete or complete. They're each mini-projects that need guided from start to finish. You need a way to see at a glance where everything stands. That's what Asana's new color and emoji options in custom fields bring to Asana Premium accounts.

Open your project's custom field settings, then add a new Drop-down field. Then include an emoji in each option with text to describe it if you want. On the right, click Edit color to add a custom color to each field, too. Then it'll be easy to see if tasks are approved, articles are edited, and more at a glance with the emoji and colors your team wants. You can also include additional details with link fields to quickly open that draft design or document from your projects.

Using Asana's new Timelines to organize your task schedule? Asana's custom colors work here too. Open the timeline, then in its options select the custom field you want to use for color. Each task on your timeline will the stand out with the custom color from your fields. It's a handy way to manage your projects the way you might with highlighters on paper or with emoji in Slack or text messages.
