What Pure Chat Triggers and Actions are Supported?

Supported Triggers#

  • New Chat Request - Triggers whenever a website visitor initiates a new chat request.
  • Finished Chat - Triggers when a live chat conversation ends.
  • New Contact Email Collected - Triggers when a new email address is collected by Pure Chat.

How to Get Started with Pure Chat on Zapier

The first thing you'll need to do is connect your Pure Chat account to Zapier. After you sign up and start creating the Zap you want, Zapier will ask you to start the process:

You can then give your Account a title or label, which is just for your convenience and helps you identify the appropriate Pure Chat account inside of Zapier.

From your Pure Chat account you can navigate to Settings > Integrations and select Zapier.

You’ll generate an API key. Copy and paste that API into Zapier.

If the account has been added and tested, everything is good to go you'll see this:

Now you can continue creating your Zap.

Common Problems with Pure Chat on Zapier

A collected email isn't triggering the zap#

The "New Contact Email Collected" trigger only works on actual chats, not email forms. If your email is being collected via a form, unfortunately this will not work.
