What Lob Triggers and Actions are Supported?

Supported Actions#

  • Send Letter - Creates a new letter in a double window envelope that will be mailed to the 'to' address, and from the 'from' address. Please see our documentation (www.lob.com/docs#letters) for details.
  • Send Postcard - This action creates a new postcard that will be mailed to the 'to' address, and from the 'from' address. Please see our documentation (https://lob.com/docs#postcards) for details.
  • Verify International Address - Corrects, standardizes, and enriches an international address. Does not accept US addresses (use Verify US Address). For details, see our documentation.
  • Verify US Address - Corrects, standardizes, and enriches (e.g. county, geolocation, deliverability) a US address. Please see our documentation for details.

How to Get Started with Lob on Zapier

To get started with Lob on Zapier, first you will need to click to connect your Lob account to use with your Zap.

Next, you'll be asked to enter your Lob API Key

To locate your API Key in your Lob account, please follow these steps:

After logging in to your Lob account locate your name in the top left of the page. Click it, select 'Settings', and then find your key under the 'API Keys' tab.

Paste your key back into your Zapier account and then “Continue”. You can now use this account with Zapier.

Common Problems with Lob on Zapier

Error (422) Unprocessable Entity and said "Lob-Version SOME DATE is no longer supported.#

This means Lob has released a new version of their API and you'll need to refresh your API token and reconnect your account to get our Zap back up and running. Follow these steps to do that:

  • In Lob, go to the Settings --> API Keys screen. It should look like this:

  • You should see a banner that says you have an outdated version and a button that says "View Changes". Click that and accept it, then you should get a new API key.

  • Reconnect your Lob account in Zapier. Go to your Connected Accounts page

  • Click the Reconnect button, then enter the new API key.

  • Go back to your Lob Zap and try testing it again
