What Disqus Triggers and Actions are Supported?

Supported Triggers#

  • New Email Subscriber - Triggers when a user opts in to your email list. This trigger requires the forum to have a Disqus Pro subscription.
  • New Flagged Comment - Triggers when a Disqus comment is flagged.
  • New Comment - Triggers when a new comment is left on a Disqus-enabled forum.

How To Get Started With Disqus

Get started using Disqus in your Zaps by choosing the trigger or action you want.

Choose a Disqus trigger or action

Next, you'll need to connect your Disqus account to Zapier. Start by clicking the "Connect a Disqus Account" button. Connect Disqus to Zapier

Give your account a name so you can easily recognize it later and click the "Continue" button. Name your connected Disqus account and enter an email and password

A new Disqus window will open. Click the "Allow" button to give Zapier access to your Disqus account.

Once you click the "Continue" button, the Disqus window will close, and your Disqus account should now be connected and ready to use in your Zaps! Disqus ready to use on Zapier

Common Problems with Disqus

Cannot find email address in the trigger data#

Right now, we aren't able to retrieve the email address of the person associated with a new comment, but hopefully we'll be able to add support for this field in the future.
