Overview

Datasource Pulse (an Apify Actor) watches your scraper's recent runs and the endpoint it feeds. It posts one JSON event to this Zap only when a source degrades or recovers, and the alert lands in Slack with the failure class, what broke, and the downstream impact note you wrote into the check. Checks cost $0.02 each on your Apify account; an every-6-hours schedule on two checks runs about $4.90 per month. Recovery notices arrive automatically, so the channel also tells you when things are fixed.

Who it's for: teams running Apify scrapers that feed dashboards, pipelines, or customer-facing features, and anyone with an endpoint that must stay up.

Requirements: a Zapier paid plan or trial (Webhooks by Zapier is a premium app), an Apify account (checks cost $0.02 each), and a Slack connection.

Customization: swap the actorId, point the generic_http check at any endpoint, adjust the schedule (cost scales with runs per day). Datasource Pulse also validates API keys for 35+ pre-wired vendors, and any other endpoint takes one generic_http check, so the list is a head start, not a limit.
