Get Gmail alerts when Datasource Pulse finds dead API keys or quota risks
Daily key validation and quota checks from Datasource Pulse on Apify, delivered to your inbox with a stable failure class and next action
Workflow preview:
Overview
Every morning Datasource Pulse validates each API key against the vendor's live API and checks usage against your own budget caps. Dead credentials, rate limits, and quota warnings post one JSON event to this Zap and arrive as email with a stable failure_class and the recommended action. Three checks daily is about $1.83 per month on your Apify account, and recovery notices confirm when a key is healthy again.
Who's it for: Anyone whose product quietly depends on OpenAI, Stripe, SerpAPI, GitHub, or other vendor keys, where a revoked key or blown quota only surfaces when production breaks.
Setup: 1) Publish this Zap and copy your hook URL. 2) Create an Apify schedule on Datasource Pulse with the input from the setup guide at https://datasourcepulse.com/integrations/zapier/, using your real keys, your own quotaSoftCap budget lines, and your hook URL. 3) Daily at your morning hour. 4) quotaWarningPct 80 means you hear at 80 percent of a cap, before the hard stop.
Requirements: Zapier paid plan or trial (Webhooks by Zapier is premium), an Apify account ($0.02 per check per run), a Gmail connection.
Customization: Add or remove keys freely. Datasource Pulse validates keys for 35+ pre-wired vendors (OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, GitHub, SerpAPI and more), and any other endpoint takes one generic_http check, so the list is a head start, not a limit.
