Zapier In-Person Event Terms & Conditions

Posted: December 20, 2024

Thanks for your interest in attending an event (the “Event”) organized by Zapier, or in certain cases, an independent customer of Zapier (in each case, the “Host”). By registering for the Event, you’re accepting these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you’re unwilling or unable to accept the Terms, please don’t register for the Event.

The Host may permit the individual registering for the Event (“you”) to enter and remain at the premises where the Event is taking place (the “Venue”), subject to your agreement to and compliance with these Terms. There may be additional terms and conditions posted or otherwise provided by the Venue which you must agree to as well in order to attend the Event.

By registering for or attending the Event, you expressly waive and release any and all claims, present or future, against Zapier, its officers, directors, managers, employees, agents, affiliates, shareholders/members, successors, and assigns (“Released Parties”).

  1. Event Admission. In its sole discretion, the Host may refuse admission or remove anyone from the Event that it determines could be disruptive to the Event or pose a danger to others. If this occurs, you won’t be entitled to any refund (if applicable) or reimbursement of costs, whether direct or indirect, incurred by you to attend the Event. Your breach of any of these Terms entitles the Host and Zapier to all available legal remedies.
  2. Event Schedule/Content. The Event, including its schedule, participants, and contents, may change without notice. The Host and Zapier do not and cannot guarantee the attendance of any speaker or other participant at the Event, or that the Event or any particular session or content at the Event will take place.
  3. Postponement/Cancellation. The Host may postpone or cancel the event at any time in its sole discretion. If the Event is postponed or cancelled, the Host and Zapier are not responsible for any costs or other expenses that you’ve incurred in anticipation of or otherwise in connection with the Event.
  4. Acknowledgement of COVID-19 and Other Risks. You understand that attending in-person events such as the Event comes with risks, including contracting the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and any resulting disease (together with any variation thereof, “COVID-19”). COVID-19 and other diseases can be extremely contagious, can in some cases lead to severe illness or death, and there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other diseases in any place where people are present. You acknowledge and agree that your entry to the Venue and attending the Event is entirely at your own risk.
  5. Safety Protocols. Your admission to the Venue and attendance at the Event may be subject to health and safety policies, assessments, precautions, and/or protocols, which may include face masks or enhanced health screening (the “Safety Protocols”). You shall comply with the Safety Protocols and any failure to do so may result in refusal of admission to the Venue or Event, and/or removal from the Venue, without refund (if applicable). Safety Protocols are not diagnostic and do not eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19 or any other diseases.
  6. Assumption of Risk and Waiver. Participating in the Event is voluntary. You acknowledge that you understand the nature of the Event, the risks inherent in any activities that you choose to participate in at the Event (including those that may involve physical activity or subject you to possible injury or death), and that you have taken reasonable precautions before attending or participating in the Event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks associated with attending and participating in the Event. In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Event, you release from liability and waive your right to sue the Released Parties from any and all claims, including claims of the Released Parties’ negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss that you may suffer or which may result from my participation in the Event, travel to and from the Event, or any events incidental to the Event.
  7. Insurance. You understand that it is your sole responsibility to arrange appropriate personal insurance appropriate or necessary for your attendance and participation at the Event.
  8. Photographs, Publicity Material, Radio and Television, and Print Media. Except as otherwise expressly agreed in writing, Zapier may use any photographs, recordings, electronic images, or publicity material received by or obtained by Zapier in the course of the Event, for any purpose. Zapier has the exclusive right to include photographic, video, and other visual portrayals of attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and their exhibits including their contents, in any medium or nature for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity and otherwise, without further compensation to the attendee, speaker, sponsor, or exhibitor, and all rights titled and interest bearing (including all worldwide copyrights therein) will be Zapier’s sole property, free of any claims of attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor or any persons deriving any rights or interest from the attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor.
  9. Speakers, Sponsors, and Exhibitors. Views expressed by any Event attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor are their own. Zapier shall have no liability for any advice given, or views expressed, by any Event attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor, or in any material provided to Event attendees.
  10. Governing Law; Jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without reference to its conflict of laws principles. All disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of a court of competent jurisdiction located in Wilmington, Delaware, and each party irrevocably consents to such personal jurisdiction and waives all objections to this venue.
  11. Severability and Waiver. If any provision or part of these Terms is declared illegal, unenforceable, or ineffective, such provision or part shall be deemed severable, such that all other provisions contained in these Terms remain valid and binding. Waivers of any provision of these Terms must be made in writing and signed by Zapier.

BY REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL OF ITS TERMS, AND THAT YOU ARE VOLUNTARILY GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE THE RELEASED PARTIES.
