Updated Google Calendar Event Trigger

If you use Gmail, chances are that you track your schedule using Google Calendar, too. Thanks to updates recently made to Zapier's Google Calendar integration, you now have new ways to automate Google Calendar. Here's what's new:

New Google Calendar Trigger Available: Event Updated

You can now kick off Zaps whenever Google Calendar events are updated (although not when they are cancelled). Do you ever update the details of a Google Calendar event and then realize that all of your other apps need to reflect that update, too? Zapier can take care of that for you with Zaps such as these:

Updates to an Existing Google Calendar Trigger: New Event

Zapier's "New Google Calendar Event" Trigger has also been updated, so that more details about the event are pulled into Zapier. There are now fields for: day of the week, duration (in seconds), invited attendees, attachments, "date only," and "time only." You can create a filter using these fields or use them into a subsequent step of the same Zap to create a detailed, automated workflow.

For example, you can pull these fields from your Google Calendar event into an automated Gmail message, like this:

How To Use This Integration:

  1. Sign up for a Gmail account, and also make sure you have a Zapier account.
  2. Connect your Google Calendar account to Zapier.
  3. Check out pre-made Google Calendar integrations.
  4. Or create your own from scratch in the Zap Editor.
