Important Update for Existing FullContact Users

If you missed the update announcement, FullContact has made a major upgrade to their integration with Zapier. This includes 12 new Triggers, Searches, and Actions that you can now use in your workflows.

For existing FullContact users, there is a manual update you will need to make in order to start using the new version of FullContact in your workflows. This update is only required if you’re using the older version of FullContact.

You can easily tell if your Zaps are using the older version by looking in your workflows to see if the name of your FullContact connection has “(Legacy)” in its name. If it does, you’ll need to update your Zaps to use "FullContact" instead of "FullContact (Legacy)".

Deadline to Update Your Zaps

On February 28, 2018, FullContact will be turning off support for their "Legacy" version and any Zaps still using the older version after this date will stop working.

For anyone with a Zap using the “FullContact (Legacy)” connection, you need to update your Zaps to avoid disruption. If you do not update your Zaps, they will stop working after FullContact turns off support at the end of February.

How to Update Your Zaps

The good news is that updating your Zaps to the newest version of FullContact is easy.

1. Find Zaps that need to be updated:
We sent an email to all users which listed all of your Zaps that use the “FullContact (Legacy)” version of the app. If you didn’t receive an email, you can use the search filter in your dashboard to find all your Zaps using the FullContact app.

2. Create a copy of Zaps you need to update:
In each workflow, check to see if your Zap is using the FullContact app named “FullContact” or “FullContact (Legacy)”.

If it is using the “FullContact (Legacy)” version, you need to update this to the new version. We recommend duplicating this Zap to make the updates so you can look at the previous version should you forget how you had it setup.

Once you’ve made a copy, go back into the editor and click on the name of the app to bring up the app selector. If you don’t see FullContact listed, use the search bar to type in “FullContact”. You should see both versions of the app appear. Select the one named “FullContact”, not “FullContact (Legacy)”.

3. Recreate the Trigger or Action step:
Once you have the correct app version selected, you’ll notice that the settings for this step in the workflow get reset. This is because the new version of FullContact has different options available so you need to recreate what you’d like it to do.
