Summer isn't slowing down the addition of apps to Zapier, now at over 325 tools that range from to-do lists to CRMs to project management software. Zapier case studies and tutorials are piling up, too, giving you more ideas to make the most of the app automation.

Apps added this month include task management tool Toodledo, visual workflow software Targetprocess, mobile form maker iFormBuilder, open source app builder OpenERP, helpdesk tool Reamaze, appointment scheduling app SuperSaaS, SEO software Positionly and bookmarking tools Pinboard and Delicious. And two apps, RSS and Numerous, received notable updates.

Toodledo is a powerful to-do list tool. Complete with features such as folders, tags, contexts and subtexts for organization, this app can hold both personal and work tasks without muddling the two.

Targetprocess is visual management software that helps companies see and understand how they work. The app is extremely flexible and can support any process or workflow.

iFormBuilder is form software specifically built to make the most of forms on a mobile device. With features like offline access, this form builder ensures you don't miss a sales lead at the next event without wifi.

OpenERP (Odoo)

OpenERP, also known as Odoo, is open source software that has modules for just about everything. More than 3,000 apps have been built on the platform, including CRM, project management and ecommerce tools.

Reamaze is a helpdesk tool that offers customers an even more amazing experience. The app brings email and social media interaction together under one platform, allowing support teams to work efficiently and effectively.

SuperSaaS is an online appointment scheduling tool for any type of business. The app lets you create your own custom booking fields and drop down lists, allowing you to capture the information you need.

Positionly is SEO software simplified. The tool allows you to more easily track changes in your search engine rankings as well as improve them.

Pinboard is a fast, no-nonsense bookmarking site, helping you better keep track of the things you find online.

Delicious is a free and easy tool to save, organize and discover interesting links on the web.

Improved RSS Trigger

RSS is one of the best ways to get creative with Zapier, from getting traffic alerts as text messages to receiving new app ratings in your team chat app.

To accommodate the many possibilities, we've rebuilt the RSS trigger from the ground up. When setting up an RSS Zap, you'll now see this:

new RSS trigger

Here's what these new options mean:

  • Different Guid/URL - Zap triggers only when it sees a new item in the feed
  • Different Content - Zap triggers either upon seeing new content in the feed or a change of even just one word in past content
  • Anything is Different - Zap triggers on either of the instances above

Unless you're dealing with a non-standard RSS feed, in which case the second or third trigger option would come in handy, we recommend you use "Different Guid/URL."

Numerous Adds Native Zapier Support

Numerous native support

Numerous, an iOS app to keep a close eye on numbers important to you, now offers native support for its Zapier integration. This means adding new Zapier-powered numbers to your stats dashboard is twice as fast.

To take advantage of the new feature, grab Numerous v1.1 from the App Store. After doing so, check out some of the popular ways to pipe in new numbers.

Zapier Use By You

AuthorityLabs Twitter contest tutorial
AuthorityLabs shows how to employ Zapier to help you pick a Twitter contest winner.

SEO software maker AuthorityLabs is currently running a Twitter contest, and instead of relying on pulling a random winner by scanning the hashtag search results, they're sending all entries to a Google Spreadsheet via Zapier.

"We set the Zap up to take the text, username, and timestamp from each tweet mentioning @authoritylabs and containing the #ALHealth hashtag and drop each one into a Google Spreadsheet," Brian LaFrance explains on the company blog.
