Please note that as of September 2022, this app no longer integrates with Zapier.

After launching Signals one year ago, the team at HubSpot has renamed the free app to Sidekick and revamped its feature set to give users even more customer intelligence in their inbox.

In addition to desktop notifications for whether or not an email has been opened or a link within an email has been clicked, Sidekick now offers contact insights (above) that shows conversation history and displays links to an individual's social media accounts. The app will soon also offer the option to schedule the sending of an email at a later date and time. Moreover, Sidekick became part of a new robust set of sales tools from the marketing automation company, including a to-be-launched CRM, that it's calling the HubSpot Sales Platform.

Just as the use of Signals' desktop notifications could be extended by plugging the app into Zapier, so too can Sidekick. Doing so leads to a variety of creative and valuable integrations, such as notifications for Twitter mentions or LinkedIn job postings.
