Slack

28 Apps in 28 Days: Every day this month, we’re launching a new connected service on Zapier.

Slack, the new communication tool for teams, is now on Zapier. Through a few quick clicks, now you can send and receive data between the many business apps and tools you use.

Want to get a new message in Slack when someone registers for your event on Eventbrite? Using Zapier, it's simple. The registrant's name, company and whatever other details you're collecting can automatically get posted into a message in Slack—you can even select the specific channel where the message will appear, like #events.

Connect Slack to Google Calendar to make sure you always get event reminders. Pull in Freshbooks events to Slack and celebrate new customer payments as a win for the team. Get notified when someone on the team starts a new timer in Harvest.

Want something more personal? The Slack-Zapier integration also lets you post events as direct messages to your Slack account—to yourself or to someone else. Get a new Google Task assigned to you and Zapier will trigger an action so Slackbot tells you about it in Slack.

Here’s a short list of Slack notifications made possible by Zapier. For even more, see the Slack Zapbook page.
