You need all the data you can get about your customers and orders to make sure shipping and invoicing runs as smoothly as possible. Zapier's newly updated Shopify integration can help.

When you're creating new Shopify customers with your Zaps, you can now have Zapier add a secondary address along with state or province abbreviations—perfect for customers who sometimes need packages mailed to another location. Working with customers who shouldn't be charged sales tax? You can also now mark customers as tax exempt to automatically update all their new orders. And if you're looking for a customer's details and can't find them with a Zapier search, your Zap can now add that customer to Shopify for you in the same step.

Zapier can also help manage your product inventory with Shopify. Using the Create Order Action, you can now decrement inventory automatically so you know exactly how many items you have in stock after that order is added. It's a handy way to make your eCommerce business runs a bit more smoothly.

What's New with the Shopify + Zapier Integration

Updates to a Search and Actions

  • Now when you use the Find Customer Search, you can have Zapier create a new customer if no one is found.
  • Now when you use the Create Customer Action, you can add a second address, state or province abbreviations, and mark if the customer is tax exempt.
  • Now when you use the Create Order Action, you can use the Allow Inventory Selection field to decrement inventory and manage your stock automatically.
