Updates to Our Built-In App, Formatter by Zapier: Line Item Support

Your client invoice or eCommerce order is made up of line items—for example, individual, itemized expenses on a receipt, order, invoice, or payment.

This Formatter update adds support for these line items so you can use Zapier to automatically add each line item from an order to, say, a spreadsheet or a confirmation email.

What's New with the Formatter by Zapier Integration

  • Formatter now supports line items. For example, if you have a QuickBooks invoice with three line items and you want to include tax on each item, you could have this as the input:

  • Plus, now if you map a field in your Zap that contains a list, say ['apple', 'banana', 'orange'], a list will be returned in the output of the Formatter by Zapier step, too. So our fruit example above comes out as:
