Updates to Our Clearbit Integration: Use Zaps to Find Company Domains by Name

Clearbit recently launched a new Name to Domain API, which takes a company name and returns the corresponding website domain and logo. This is handy for unlocking enriched data from new contacts in your CRM, user database, or anywhere you're logging the companies your customers are associated with.

With the new Find Company's Domain by Name Search in Zapier, you can use Zaps to enrich new contacts with info like company size, location, and even what technology products they use. That way, your CRM is flush with the intel your team needs to build lasting connections with customers.

A heads up from the Clearbit team: company names are not unique, and therefore there's going to be some inherent inaccuracy with the data returned from this API. We try to do an exact match and return the relevant company, but we won't always be right.

What's New with the Clearbit + Zapier Integration

New Search

• Find a Company by Domain: Finds a company by domain.

Already using Clearbit + Zapier? Make sure to update your connection to the new Clearbit app. You'll know which version of integration your Zap is on based on the name—update your Zaps to "Clearbit" from "Clearbit (Legacy)".

If you don't update your Zaps to use the new integration, they'll continue to work as expected. But heads up that we'll no longer be supporting the Clearbit (legacy) integration. This means that when we release updates to the integration, those features will only be available to Zaps on the updated version of the app. If you need help rebuilding any Zaps, feel free to reach out to our team with questions.
