ZapConnect 2026

ZapConnect is Zapier’s annual half-day virtual conference bringing together thousands of people from around the world who are building with AI and automation. Happening on September 23, 2026.

This year's theme is AI in action, and we're looking for speakers who can show the audience real systems, real wins, and real lessons.

Who we're looking for

AI Teachers

You've worked out how AI and automation actually fit into your team's day-to-day, and you love explaining it to people who haven't.

You find it easy to get non-technical teammates to actually start using AI in their real work.

You're able to teach a pattern and a way of thinking, not just demoing a tool.

End-to-End AI Builders

You've moved past one-off automations and are now building systems, where AI, your tools, and your team's work all connect.

You've shipped a multi-layer, AI-powered system at work that's transformed how the way you or your team works.

You find it simple to explain the architectural choices and tradeoffs, not just the happy path.

AI Transformation Leaders

You're leading your company's AI transformation, not just rolling out tools, but changing how teams operate. 

You've been operating at the org-design layer, not just tool adoption.

You can go a level below the strategy slide, into the workflows, rituals, and decisions that changed.

AI-Native Operators

Your company runs in a way most companies don't yet. AI isn't just a tool, it's woven into how decisions get made, how work happens, and how the team scales.

You can show off real builds and processes, not just aspirations.

You're willing to share what has worked and how you solved the inevitable bumps along the road.

How to make your application catch our attention

Show Zapier in the build

The strongest sessions feature one or more Zapier products at the heart of what you built. Tell us which ones, how you used them, the other AI tools in your stack,  and why they were the right tool for the job.

Be specific in your abstract

"I built an AI workflow" doesn't tell us much. "I built a Zapier-powered system that turns customer emails into structured handoff briefs in 30 seconds" tells us much more.

Promise concrete takeaways

What will an attendee be able to do, build, or think about differently after 20 minutes with you? If your answer is "they'll learn about AI," we recommend getting more specific. The strongest proposals name the takeaway in the same language an attendee would.

Teach, don't pitch

Our audience can smell a sales deck from the first slide. Sessions should be educational — show your process, your stumbles, your decisions. Attendees value transparency and leaving each session with something new they can immediately put to work.

FAQs

When does the call for speakers close?

The call for speakers for ZapConnect 2026 closes on June 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT.

How will I be notified if I'm selected as a speaker?

We'll notify applicants in late June about their submission status via the email listed on their form.

Can I submit more than one proposal?

Yes! You can submit a maximum of two proposals. Please complete a separate submission form for each proposal.

Is consent to the speaker agreement a requirement to speak at ZapConnect 2026?

Yes. If selected, all speakers must review and provide consent to the speaker agreement. Please review the agreement with your internal teams for approval.

Am I allowed to have a co-presenter for my session?

Yes! But we suggest no more than two presenters per session. Please note that all presenters will be required to review and provide consent to our speaker agreement.

How long should my session be?

Sessions will range from 10 - 25 minutes in length.

If selected, what is the time commitment?

We expect the total time commitment to be 7-10 hours, depending on your session format (pre-recorded or live). Our team is here every step of the way to prepare you for your session. We'll provide speaker onboarding through our Speaker Resource Center, presentation deck reviews, and tech rehearsals.

Can I promote my service or products?

At this time, we aren’t offering sponsored sessions. Our sessions aim to be educational rather than promotional.
