A note from Wade Foster, Zapier CEO: I'm excited to welcome Chris Geoghegan as our first Product Manager at Zapier. PMs are tough to hire for because of the diversity of skills required and the fact that the role itself varies between companies. One of the attributes we want to see in this role is empathy for our customers. Chris brings that in abundance and will do a great job advancing Zapier. Please help me give Chris a warm welcome.

Hey, Everyone! I’m Chris Geoghegan and I’m stoked to be joining Zapier as a Product Manager.

Before Zapier

Before joining Zapier, I led product development at a couple different companies. At Neurio, we made a sensor that would show you your home’s electricity usage on your smartphone. At Chimp, I got to work on a platform for charitable giving that is changing the way people think about philanthropy.

Clearly, those companies are quite different, but the common thread for me was how important it was to listen to and have empathy for our customers so that we built the right stuff.

Discovering Zapier

I first stumbled upon Zapier when I was helping a teammate connect our customer support and CRM software. The best part about Zapier is that anyone on the team could set it up and manage it. It didn’t require any technical or programming knowledge!

Through their awesome blog content and the stuff Zapier’s written about company culture and working remotely, I knew this was a company I wanted to work for. Which leads me to today …

At Zapier

I’ve got the best job! I get to talk with Zapier’s customers and understand more deeply what kinds of problems they face and how we can do an even better job of solving those problems. Then I get to work with our talented team of designers and engineers to plan and execute new products and enhancements.

If you're a Zapier customer and you have feedback (or just want to chat about how you use Zapier) I would love to talk. Please, get in touch!

I live in Vancouver, British Columbia (well a suburb, actually) with my wife and three daughters. Working remotely at Zapier has allowed me to save 3 hours every day on my commute! I love the extra time I get to spend with my family. In my spare time, I like to geek out on code/hardware and play a lot of board games.
