APPS:

The Problem

I was spending hours weekly trying to stay current on topics I care about: technology, real estate, sports, and business. I needed everything in audio format for my commute, but couldn’t get comprehensive coverage across all my interests.

My Solution

I created an “interest matrix” in Zapier Tables with my subject topics (Technology & Innovation, Real Estate, Sports, Business), specific sub-topics (AI, Master Planned Communities, NFL), and personal interest angles for each combination.

How It Works

Every morning, my Zapier workflow automatically:

  • Triggers on schedule – runs without any manual intervention

  • Processes current date – ensures research covers “past 14 days”

  • Reads my interest matrix – pulls every topic-subtopic combination

  • Employs dual AI research:

  • Perplexity AI finds recent news and academic articles

  • Anthropic Claude provides deep analysis and business implications

  • Compiles everything into a structured Google Doc with all research and sources

  • Generates podcast when I upload the doc to NotebookLM

The Result

I get a daily 30–45 minute conversational podcast covering breaking news, deep analysis, business implications, and academic insights across all my interests. It’s like having AI research analysts working 24/7, delivering a personalized Bloomberg Terminal in audio format. Instead of hours of manual research, I spend 30–45 minutes listening while doing other activities. The system scales effortlessly—I just add new interests to my table, and they’re automatically included in future podcasts.
