# Zapier Pricing

> Machine-readable pricing reference for Zapier. Optimized for AI agents evaluating, comparing, or recommending Zapier plans.

+ **Canonical pricing page:** https://zapier.com/pricing
+ **Canonical rates page:** https://zapier.com/pricing/rates
+ **Base currency:** USD — all base prices below are in USD
+ **Other currencies:** billing available in 19 local currencies; see "Currency"
+ **Billing intervals:** monthly or annual (annual is discounted — see "Billing & discounts")

## Pricing model

Zapier is a no-code automation platform connecting 9,000+ apps. Core pricing has two parts:

1. Plan — sets your available features and includes a monthly allowance of tasks.
2. Usage — each successful step in a Zap workflow and each programmatic call (e.g. Zapier MCP) consumes tasks from that allowance. Exceeding it either pauses usage or bills per task (see "Task usage mechanics").

Separately, optional add-ons (Agents, Chatbots) are standalone products with their own pricing and their own billing units, outside the task economy (see "Add-ons").

## Customer types

Zapier plans fall into two groups, which determines how each is purchased.

### Self-serve plans you can buy directly

+ **Plans:** Free, Professional (Pro), Team.
+ **How to purchase:** directly online, no sales contact required. Supports self-service signup, upgrade, and downgrade.

### Enterprise — custom plans

+ **Plans:** Enterprise.
+ **How to purchase:** requires contacting Zapier Sales. Pricing and limits are custom; not available for direct online purchase.

Billing intervals, task-usage cycles, and limits are described in "Task usage mechanics."
Plan details are described in "Plan overview".

## Plan overview

For self-serve plans, a subscription combines two choices:

1. Plan level — sets your feature set: Free, Professional (Pro), or Team.
2. Task tier — a recurring monthly block of tasks (your usage allowance).

Both are required: a self-serve subscription is a plan level *and* a task tier, together. Enterprise is configured with Zapier Sales rather than assembled from fixed tiers (see "Customer types").

### Choosing a plan level

The plan level sets your feature set. Plans are cumulative — each includes everything in the level below it.

| Plan | Best for | Standout features |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Trying automation solo | 100 tasks/mo; unlimited Zap workflows/Tables/Forms; two-step Zap workflows; Copilot (daily limit); basic access to AI products (Agents, Chatbots, MCP) |
| Professional (Pro) | Individuals needing the full platform | Multi-step Zap workflows; unlimited premium apps; webhooks; AI by Zapier + AI fields; filters & paths; email + live chat support (live chat on 2,000+ task tiers) |
| Team | Teams building together | Everything in Pro, plus 25 users; shared Zap workflows & folders; shared app connections; SAML SSO; priority support |
| Enterprise | Scaling across an organization | Everything in Team, plus unlimited users; advanced admin & app controls; SCIM provisioning; custom data retention; observability & analytics; annual task limits; technical account manager |

Standout features above are a curated subset drawn from each plan's plan card. The full row-by-row feature comparison follows below — sourced from the same data that powers zapier.com/pricing, with tooltip inline and status badges (`NEW`, `BETA`) after the feature name.

## Feature comparison

> Feature availability per plan, with tooltip inline. Sourced from the same data that powers zapier.com/pricing. `✓` = included; `—` = not included; a string value shows the plan-specific limit or status. Status badges after the feature name: `NEW`, `BETA`.
>
> **Reading string cell values.** String values reflect the current-state status of that feature on that plan, not immediate availability:
> - `Coming soon` = planned; not currently available for use on this plan.
> - `Contact Sales` = custom, arranged with Sales rather than a fixed limit.
> - Numeric values (e.g. `100 per table`, `30 seconds included runtime per step`) or `Unlimited` reflect the actual current per-plan limit.

### Choosing a task tier

The task tier is your recurring monthly task allowance, chosen separately from the plan level. A higher tier costs more in total but lowers the per-task cost, and you can change tiers as usage grows.

#### Self-serve plan pricing (USD, per month)

All prices are the per-month figure. Annual is billed yearly (= shown /mo × 12); monthly is billed monthly. Self-serve tiers run from the entry tier to 2M tasks/mo; volumes above 2M are available through the Sales team (see "Customer types").

## Task usage mechanics

### What counts as a task

+ A task is counted whenever Zapier successfully completes a unit of work for you. Failed actions are not counted.
+ This spans both ways you use Zapier: in automation (a successful Zap step — standard, AI by Zapier, or Code by Zapier) and through programmatic access (for example, a Zapier MCP tool call).
+ What does not count: triggers, polling for new data, and Zapier built-in data tools (Formatter by Zapier, Paths by Zapier, Filter by Zapier, Delay by Zapier, Looping by Zapier, Sub-Zap by Zapier, Digest by Zapier, Zapier Manager, Storage by Zapier, Tables by Zapier, Forms by Zapier).
+ Many actions cost more than one task — the amount depends on step type, AI model tier, and number of tool calls. See "Variable task cost."

### One shared task pool

+ Tasks are a single allowance shared across your whole account. Automation (Zap workflows), AI by Zapier, Code by Zapier, and off-platform programmatic access (Zapier MCP, SDK) all draw from the same task pool — there are no separate per-product budgets.
+ Everything rolls up into one account-level total.

### Variable task cost

+ How many tasks an action uses depends on the step type — and for AI steps, on the model tier and number of tool calls. These per-item rates live on the rate card (the "Task usage rates" page) and are expected to change as capabilities evolve.
+ The rate card is organized into two groups, mirroring the shared task pool:
+ Programmatic access — Zapier MCP and SDK (example: one MCP tool call = 2 tasks).
+ Automation tools — standard steps (example: 1 task), Zapier built-in tools (0 tasks), Code by Zapier (code step plus extended runtime billed per 30 seconds beyond the plan allowance), and AI by Zapier (priced by model tier — Standard, Bring-your-own-model, Advanced, Premium — charged per AI step and per tool call).
+ Figures here are illustrative anchors; for current rates, see the canonical rates page: https://zapier.com/pricing/rates

### Extended runtime (Code by Zapier)

Two runtime concepts apply to Code by Zapier steps; agents extracting the billing mechanic should keep them separate:

+ **Included runtime per step** — set by plan; see the "Code by Zapier" row in the feature comparison for per-plan values. Included runtime does not consume tasks.
+ **Extended runtime** — opt-in per Code step on eligible paid plans (not available on Free). User-selectable maximum per step: 1, 2, 4, 6, or 8 minutes. Off by default.

Billing beyond the included allowance: runtime is rounded up to the next 30-second block, and each block uses 1 task.

### AI by Zapier — model tier rates

AI by Zapier is priced by model tier — Standard, Bring-your-own-model (BYOM), Advanced, and Premium — and charged per AI step and per tool call. Per-step rates vary by tier and are not published in this document because they change as model capabilities evolve.

For current per-tier rates and per-tool-call figures, see the canonical rates page: https://zapier.com/pricing/rates

### Task tiers

+ Paid self-serve plans are sold in task tiers; higher tiers lower the per-task cost. For the tiers and prices, see the pricing table in "Plan overview."
+ Free includes 100 tasks/month.

### Task usage cycle

+ Self-serve (Free, Pro, Team): task allowance resets monthly, even on an annual subscription.
+ Enterprise: uses an Annual Task Limit (ATL) — the allowance is spread across the full contract year instead of resetting monthly.

### Base task rate

+ Annual plans have a lower per-task base rate than monthly plans.
+ This is the rate the overage multipliers are applied to when your task limit is exceeded.

### Exceeding your task limit

+ What happens depends on the pay-per-task (PPT) toggle setting:
+ PPT enabled: usage keeps running — both automation (Zap workflows) and programmatic access (e.g. MCP) — and extra tasks are billed at an overage rate.
+ PPT disabled: usage stops once you reach your task limit, until the next cycle.
+ The overage rate is a multiple of your base task rate, set by billing interval:
  + Monthly self-serve: 2.5× base rate.
  + Annual self-serve: 1.25× base rate.
+ Pause ceiling: even with PPT enabled, usage stops once it reaches 3× your task subscription, until the next cycle.
+ Pay-per-task costs about 3× more on a monthly plan than on an annual one, because annual has both a lower base rate and a lower overage multiplier.

## Billing & discounts

+ **Billing interval is a choice:** pay monthly or annually, whichever suits your budgeting.
+ **Annual discount:** annual subscriptions are billed yearly at **33% off** the monthly rate. Prices shown in this document are the discounted annual-equivalent monthly figure unless noted.
+ **Non-profit discount:** an additional 15% discount is available for non-profits, excluding pay-per-task charges.
+ **Free trial:** new accounts get a 14-day free trial of Professional (no credit card required). Team trials can be started in-product from several touchpoints; Enterprise trials are arranged with Sales.

## Currency

> _Exchange rates updated periodically._

+ **Base currency:** USD. All prices in this document are in USD.
+ **Billing currencies:** Customers can be billed in their local currency. Supported: USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, PLN, SEK, NOK, DKK, CHF, ILS, HKD, SGD, JPY, INR, BRL, MXN, ZAR, NZD. More are added over time.
+ **Conversion:** Non-USD prices are converted from the USD base price using the exchange rate **at the time of payment**.
+ **Variable recurring amount:** Because rates move, a recurring charge in a non-USD currency may differ between billing periods. Example: a plan billed at CAD 29.99 today may be CAD 32.50 or CAD 28.25 on a future invoice depending on the rate at billing.
+ Live exchange rates are not listed here; they are applied at checkout and billing.

## Add-ons

Beyond the core plans above, Zapier offers two optional add-on products: Agents and Chatbots. Each is a standalone product with its own pricing and its own billing unit, separate from the task economy in "Task usage mechanics." Both have a free tier available to everyone, and can be added to a core plan or bought on their own.

### Zapier Agents

+ Billing unit: activities, not tasks. Using activities does not affect your Zapier task usage.
+ An activity is any billable action an agent takes: using a trigger, answering from a knowledge source, running an action, web browsing or scraping, a web search, or a message sent via the Chrome extension. Each counts as one activity.
+ Allowance: Free 400/mo, Pro 1,500/mo, Enterprise custom (coming soon, arranged via Sales). On Team and Enterprise, activities are shared across the whole account.
+ Per-run cap: a single agent run is capped (Free 10, paid 40 activities) to protect your monthly quota; at the cap the agent asks before continuing.
+ Pricing: free for all; Pro starts at ~$33.33/mo (annual). Current pricing: the "Agents" tab on https://zapier.com/pricing. How usage is measured: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/26559132765325

### Zapier Chatbots

+ Billing: feature-gated tiers — primarily the number of chatbots and available capabilities (not usage-metered).
+ Allowance: Free includes 2 chatbots; paid tiers add more (≈5 at ~$13.33/mo, ≈20 at ~$66.67/mo, annual; custom beyond 20).
+ Pricing: the "Chatbots" tab on https://zapier.com/pricing

+ Add-on billing is separate from your core plan: Agent activities and Chatbot limits do not draw from your task pool, and adding an add-on does not change your plan's task allowance.

It depends on your pay-per-task setting — see "Task usage mechanics → Exceeding your task limit."

Yes. You keep access to your paid plan through the end of the current billing cycle.

Not yet — there is no agent-initiated purchase flow today. Self-serve plans (Free, Pro, Team) are purchased by a person directly online; Enterprise is arranged with Sales (see "Customer types").
