VP Product, Workflows

As the VP of Product, Workflow you will have responsibility for driving the strategy for the core business unit of Zapier. You will innovate on behalf of our customers by directing the ongoing development of our Workflow product and product-led growth and drive customer growth in new market segments.

Ideally, you will have prior experience delivering solutions in a consumer software or SaaS environment. About you

You've managed or scaled a 15+ person product organization(s). You have successfully built & scaled a product team of more than 15 and worked through at least one layer of senior management. You have the experience driving processes and systems for the organization. This person will directly manage leaders in Product Management and be responsible for strategy and results of a single $100M+ ARR business unit called Workflow. You’ll develop the strategy and results for the entire business unit comprised of about 80 total people.

You have experience with product-led growth. This role is responsible for growing Workflow which is Zapier’s core product today. Zapier grows primarily as a result of product-led growth today. You have experience managing product-led growth and making strategic decisions about new markets, new audiences, and new products or features to increase growth and then operationalizing that strategy through to results. Bonus if you have direct experience managing an SEO-oriented acquisition engine.

You are a strategic and inspiring leader. You have influenced at the executive level and have helped to inform the product and business strategy of the company, but you can also lead the direction and vision of the entire Product team.

You are an expert at building relationships across the organization. We practice the EPD model here at Zapier, meaning that Engineering, Product, and Design are all equally hitched in decision-making, and each function is involved and aligned from a product’s inception to its launch. You're comfortable working in an environment where you'll lean heavily on your Engineering and Design leaders, while also working across the organization with Marketing, Customer Support & Success, etc. to drive the right solutions for our customers.

You are a skilled mentor and coach. You realize the best way to grow a team is by helping them to grow themselves. You're able to effectively share your experience and provide a clear framework for growth.

You are product, business, and customer focused. You are able to relate to our customers and partners to provide and translate business vision into product vision in a simple and clear manner.

You're a skilled written communicator. Zapier is a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication. You'll use written summaries and reports to communicate vision, strategy, plans, findings, and results to the engineering and full Zapier team.

Things You Might Do

  • Participate as an executive in the general operation of the business
  • Lead product strategy for new market segments. You will build a vision around new features and offerings based on internal discussion, client demand, data, and thought leadership
  • Work with your team to convert product strategy into teams and roadmaps, partnering with Design and Engineering to drive execution
  • Manage relationships across all functions to ensure feature feasibility, collaboration amongst teams, and to identify any potential barriers to launch
  • Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from definition through deployment and support
  • Drive revenue growth by converting new and existing users
  • Maintain a culture of high performance across the Product Management organization
  • Manage discipline around measurement and reporting of success of each product offering
  • Recruit world class talent
  • Travel 5-10% of the year to our bi-annual company retreats based in North America

Compensation:

  • Travel of 5% - 10% for company retreats which rotate to various cities throughout North America

*While we take care of our international folks as best we can, currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available to UK, Canada, and US-based employees.
