About You

You’re an experienced Brand Strategist. This isn’t your first rodeo. You have a track record (5+ years agency/client side) of successful Brand Strategy work where you have synthesized reams of data, research, and intelligence to simplify the complex and uncover insights to drive inspiring brand strategy.

You’re an excellent communicator. You have executive level written and verbal presentation skills and are adept at motivating, inspiring and persuading all levels of the organization with data and your passion and vision.

You’re creative and collaborative. You are a creative thinker who can light up a room as a storyteller, bring collaborative energy, and work cross functionally to establish trust, credibility, and influence across multiple stakeholders. You love to work with marketing, product, and stakeholder teams to drive planning, design and execution. 

You can create compelling brand experiences. The most successful brands are backed by an intimate understanding of customer’s needs and motivations. You can utilize insights to make the Zapier brand speak directly to them at critical moments that draw them into our products and inspire them to want more.

You’re organized and manage time well. You are highly organized and have a track record of effectively completing high profile projects with a high degree of senior-level scrutiny under tight timelines.  Zapier is a 100% remote company and you will be trusted to meet deadlines and solve complex problems proactively.

Things You’ll Do

  • Partner with Product Marketing and Design to drive the brand strategy and creative vision that brings the brand insights to life and enhances the Zapier brand positioning, personality and equity.
  • Provide input for quantitative and qualitative research; listen to and interpret the voice of the customer; and identify trends and insights to build actionable plans that evolve the Zapier brand.
  • Create a comprehensive process to ensure insights are leveraged and pulled throughout all Zapier customer touchpoints for maximum consistency and impact.
  • Create briefs and manage creative projects from kick-off to final production by providing strong creative guidance and influencing stakeholder buy-in to insure all goals and timeline are achieved.
  • Be a brand educator. Partner with business units to assist them in developing ways to bring the Zapier brand to life in their areas of responsibility.
  • Track competitive intelligence and brand metrics to proactively recognize trends and identify appropriate course corrections to insure continual learning and improvement.
  • Travel of 5-10% for company retreats that rotate to various cities throughout North America.
  • As a part of our All Hands Support initiative, help customers have the best possible experience with Zapier.

The Whole Package

Location: Remote, North America 

Our distributed environment lets us work with the best people. You don't have to be located in the USA either. Some team members live in the United Kingdom, Thailand, India, Nigeria, Taiwan, Guatemala, New Zealand, Australia, and more! You just need the skills and drive to succeed in this role and the ability to work from anywhere.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary (we don't use remote as an excuse to pay less)

  • 14 weeks paid leave for new parents of biological or adopted children
  • Pick your own equipment. We'll set you up with whatever Apple laptop + monitor combo you want plus any software you need.
  • Unlimited vacation policy. Plus we require you to take at least 2 weeks off each year. We see most employees take 4-5 weeks off per year. This isn't a vague policy where unlimited vacation means no vacation.
  • Travel of 5% - 10% for company retreats which rotate to various cities throughout North America. We will resume retreats when it’s safe to travel again. Retreats typically take place twice a year as a company, once a year as a team. All expenses paid (flights, meals, transportation, etc.).
  • Work with awesome companies around the world. We partner with great software companies all over the world and you'll constantly get to interact with people from these great companies

*While we take care of our international folks as best we can, currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available to UK, Canada, and US-based employees.
