Connect your app accounts to Zapier

In order for Zapier to automatically send data from one of your apps to another, you must first connect those apps to Zapier. This will give Zapier secure access to read and write data to those apps.

There are two ways you can connect your app accounts to Zapier: in My apps, or in the Zap editor. You can also connect multiple accounts of the same app to Zapier.

  • Your Zapier account has a limit of 2,000 app connections.
  • Zapier uses bank-level encryption to protect the credentials that you use to access your app accounts. Zapier only takes actions in your app accounts that are required to run the Zaps you create.

1. Connect app accounts in My Apps

  • Go to My Apps.
  • In the upper right, click Add connection.
  • Search for and select the app you want to connect.
  • A new browser tab or window will open. Follow the instructions to connect your app account.

You’ll now be able to create Zaps using the connected app account.


If nothing happens when you select an app, try disabling your browser’s pop-up blocker.

2. Connect app accounts in the Zap editor

You can also connect new apps when you create Zaps in the editor.

  • After you select an app and an event in a trigger or action step, you’ll be prompted to connect your app account.
  • Click Sign in to [app].
  • A new browser tab or window will open. Follow the instructions to connect your app account.

3. Connect multiple accounts of the same app to Zapier

You can use different accounts of the same app in different Zaps. You can do this by creating a new connection either through My apps, or directly in the Zap editor.


You may get automatically connected to an existing account because of the browser's cookies, which recognize that you are already logged into to that service on another tab. To avoid that, you can:

  • Log out of the app on another browser tab, so that the connection window in Zapier will request that you log in again.
  • Use a different browser or an incognito/private window to log into Zapier and create another connection.

Once you’ve connected an app account to Zapier, you can manage the connection in My Apps.
