Score leads in Zaps

Last updated:

Lead Score by Zapier allows you to enrich your customer data with extra information. Lead Score is powered by MadKudu.

You can only make 500 requests per month to the Madkudu application - if you go over this limit, then the action will error out. If you find that you are hitting these limits often, then you may want to consider upgrading to a higher plan in Madkudu and using that integration.

You can add this step to your Zap and send it an email address. In return, you'll get back a name, company size, industry, and location, and other useful information.

1. Add a lead score action

  • In the Zap editor, go to the 2. Do This step. If you don’t see this step, click the + icon to add a new step.
  • Search for and select Lead Score by Zapier.
  • Click Continue.

2. Customize the lead's email address

3. Test your connection

  • To test the connection using the sample email address from the previous section, click Fetch & Continue.
  • If the test is successful, information about the lead and their company information will appear.

Lead score example

In the Customer Fit segment, your leads are assigned to one of the following segments:

  • Low
  • Medium
  • Good
  • Very good

This lead information can be used in later action steps in your Zap.

Use lead score data in actions

After setting up your lead score action, you can continue setting up the rest of your Zap by using the information collected in this step in a later action step.

MadKudu can provide more detailed information about your leads, though they require a subscription to use their service. Learn more about MadKudu's lead scoring service.
