Common Problems with Base CRM#

Company and Person Contacts#

Only Person type Contacts are supported by Zapier actions and created within Base CRM.

Base CRM Custom Fields#

Base CRM custom fields are fully supported on the trigger and action side of Zaps inside of Zapier with the following exceptions:

1.Address custom fields are not available inside Zapier 2. Multi-select custom fields are not available inside Zapier 3. Custom fields are not available for "deal" triggers 4. Custom fields are not available for "deal" actions

Be sure to create your custom fields inside of Base CRM first, then set up a brand new Zap to see them.

Some of My Records Are Missing#

This is not uncommon - usually, this is a user permissions issue and you might not have permissions to view the records in question. Read this Base help document to sort it out: https://support.getbase.com/hc/en-us/articles/203424919-How-do-I-manage-user-permissions-and-data-access-in-Base-

Error: 403 Forbidden#

If you're seeing this error on the Create Task action, it's likely because you set something in the "Associated Record Type" field but didn't put an ID in the "Task Associated Record". Those fields work together so they should either both be filled out OR both be blank.

Not All of My Contacts Triggered the Zap#

Base only sends 20 contacts at a time with the New Contact trigger, so if more are added between the zap running, they'll be missed. If you're trying to add a large number of contacts, add 20 at a time and manually run the Zap in between.

Multi-Select Fields Aren't Showing up in the Editor#

We currently don't support multi-select fields. If you have a multi-select field, you can break it out into multiple checkbox type fields. So, instead of having a field that looked like this:

You would have three fields that looked like this:
