Watershed LRS Integrations

  • Track new Twitter hashtags using Watershed

Tweet chats are a great way to learn in the public space. Take a look at #lrnchat, #guildchat and #chat2lrn as examples. Conferences often have hashtags associated with them too. Use this Zapier integration to track usage of your Twitter chat's hashtag: it will trigger with each new post, sending a statement to Watershed with all the details so you can see who's posting the most Tweets and which weeks had the highest participation.

    How this Twitter-Watershed integration works

    1. A new tweet is posted with a mention of your chosen hashtag
    2. Zapier sends a statement to Watershed

    Apps involved

    • Watershed
    • Twitter
  • Track Trello activity in Watershed

How often do people use your Trello board? Who is the most active? Is Trello activity increasing or decreasing over time? Use this Zapier integration to track each time somebody does something on a Trello board and then report on activity in Watershed.

    • Note: This Zapier integration only records that the person interacted with the Trello board and not what the action was. It is possible to record this information in Watershed with Zapier. Contact Watershed support for help setting this up.*

    2. Zapier sends a statement to Watershed

  • Track Bridge Course Completions (via webhooks) in Watershed

Connect your Bridge LMS to Watershed and you'll be able track course completions alongside all of your other learning data. Once active, this integration will fire off whenever a learner completes a course in Bridge. The information will then be added to Watershed automatically, so you can report on your most active courses and learners, monitor who has completed required learning, and evaluate the impact of learning on job performance.

Note: This is an advanced integration that requires the Bridge team to set up webhooks in your account. Learn more about webhooks on Bridge here.

    How this Bridge-Watershed integration works

    1. A learner complete a course in Bridge
    2. Zapier adds the information to Watershed

  • Track Salesforce tasks in Watershed

What tasks are your sales team adding? Who is adding the most tasks? What are your busiest and quietest periods? What factors impact the number of tasks sales people add? Use this Zapier integration to get that data into Watershed for analysis and reports alongside your data from other sources.

Note: This Zapier integration identifies users by their name in Salesforce as we do not have access to the Salesforce username. If you have two sales people with the same name, we recommend changing one of their names (perhaps use a short form of their name or add a "2" on the end). If you don't, Watershed will track them as a single person.

Watershed LRS Integration Details

Launched on Zapier September 19, 2015

Zapier combines Triggers (like "New Statement") and Actions (like "Send a Statement") to complete an action in one app when a trigger occurs in another app. These combos—called "Zaps"—complete your tasks automatically.

The following Watershed LRS Triggers, Searches, and Actions are supported by Zapier:

Send a Statement

Sends a Tin Can statement to the Watershed LRS. This action provides fields for you to complete to build the statement.

Send a Statement (Advanced)

Please only use this action if you have been explicitly instructed to do so by an expert. Consider the simple 'Send a Statement' action instead.

.

New Statement

Triggers when a new statement is added to the Learning Record Store.
