What Abacus Triggers and Actions are Supported?

Supported Actions#

  • Invite a User - Invite a user to your Abacus account.
  • Upload Receipt - Adds an image to the Abacus receipt inbox
  • Create Expense Field Tag - Creates a new Expense Field Tag.(Expense Fields are managed on Abacus, and are a set of tags that can be applied to expenses for clients, projects, or events. This action adds a tag to a specific expense field.)

How to Get Started with Abacus on Zapier

To get started with Abacus on Zapier, first you will need to click to connect your Abacus account to use with your Zap

Click to connect Abacus

You’ll now be asked to log into your Abacus account (unless you are already logged in)

Login to Abacus

Finally, you will be asked to give Zapier permission to access your account. Click “Allow/Accept” to continue.

Authorize Abacus on Zapier

If all steps were successful your Abacus account will now be successfully connected.

Common Problems with Abacus on Zapier

Unable to Invite User or Create Expense Field Tag#

Abacus only allows users who are administrators within their Abacus organization to invite a user or create a new expense field tag.

There are no Expense Fields to choose from#

Adding an Expense Field Tag requires that there are existing Expense Fields. You can manage these within your Abacus account. An Expense Field is a set of logically grouped Tags. Once you have created an Expense Field within Abacus (such as “Events”), you can then use this action to add Tags to this field (such as “SXSW 2016”.)
