# Zapier SDK

The Zapier TypeScript SDK gives your code programmatic access to 9,000+ app integrations. Use it to build AI agent tools, backend services, and automation pipelines that interact with business apps through Zapier's authenticated connection layer.

## When to use this skill

- You're building an AI agent or backend service that needs to interact with business apps (Slack, Sheets, Jira, etc.)
- You want typed, programmatic access to Zapier actions — not just an MCP connection
- You need to run Zapier actions from server-side code, CI/CD pipelines, or custom tooling

## Prerequisites

- Node.js 20+
- A Zapier account with at least one connected app

## Install

```bash
npm install @zapier/zapier-sdk
npm install -D @zapier/zapier-sdk-cli @types/node typescript
```

## Authenticate

```bash
npx zapier-sdk login
```

Opens a browser for OAuth. For server deployments, use client credentials instead.

## Generate types for your apps

```bash
npx zapier-sdk add slack google-sheets jira
```

This generates TypeScript types for type-safe interactions with those apps.

## Use in code

import { createZapierSdk } from "@zapier/zapier-sdk";

const zapier = createZapierSdk();

// List available connections
const connections = await zapier.connections.list();

// Run an action
await zapier.actions.run("slack", "send_channel_message", {
