2. Add the sender to your contacts list

Go to the Google Contacts menu and click the Create contact button.
Enter the email address and name of your contact, and click Save.
Once you click Save, you'll have a new contact in your list. Any emails the contact sends you should end up in your inbox.

If the first two steps still don't solve the issue, here's the last, most granular method for keeping emails out of your spam folder.
Click Show search options in the search bar.
