The 10 best marketing podcasts in 2025

By Jessica Lau · April 29, 2025
A hero image with the logos for the best marketing podcasts

If you haven't searched for "marketing podcasts" on Spotify lately (who even are you?), I'll fill you in: there are over a thousand results. The weird and wonderful web ensures you can find a podcast in any niche you'd like, but there are only so many hours in a day to tune in.

To find the best, I started where many people would: asking for recommendations. I looked into those suggestions and did lots of research of my own to create a spreadsheet of the top marketing podcasts to explore. (You didn't think I could do this without a spreadsheet, did you?)

After countless hours of listening, here are my recommendations for the 10 best marketing podcasts.

The best marketing podcasts

What to look for in the best marketing podcast

Media preferences are seriously personal. Favorite genres of movies and music vary drastically between people—and podcasts are no different. While I did my best to sample episodes that touched every corner of the marketing industry and in different formats, I gravitated toward the ones I found personally engaging. In the end, only you can be the ultimate judge as to whether a podcast is great or not.

Still, there are a few things you can keep in mind to prioritize listening time.

  • Choose content that aligns with your listening goals. Do you want to get inspired by fellow marketers? Try an interview-style podcast. If you want to discover specific marketing tactics, look for a production with case studies or niche topics.

  • Pick episodes in your preferred format. Podcasts are usually audio-first, but that doesn't always have to be the case. I personally like to see podcasts with transcripts for accessibility, and video versions can feel more personal.

  • Find episodes that come with bonus content. I appreciate any supporting materials. Episode highlights, related resources, timestamps, downloadable guides, and blog post summaries all add to the experience. If this is important to you, keep an eye out for it (usually in the show notes).

  • Pick an engaging host. You may like solo hosts, duos with friendly banter, or a revolving set of guests. Whichever your preference, pick the combo you find most engaging. If you don't like the host(s), there's no chance you'll like the podcast.

  • Choose thoughtfully edited content. I can appreciate the amount of effort it takes to get any podcast episode out into the world—but some editing touches elevate the experience. For example, a simple overview at the top of the episode about the upcoming topics helps listeners decide if they want to continue. I also like it when outside audio clips add context or atmosphere or when interviews are edited to feel more like a journalism piece than an audio dump.

In my experience, once you're able to identify a handful of episodes and formats you like, most podcast apps do a great job of suggesting similar-style shows you might enjoy.

With that in mind, here are my picks for the best digital marketing podcasts.

The best marketing podcast for case studies

The Marketing Millennials hosted by Daniel Murray

The Marketing Millennials, our pick for the best marketing podcast for case studies.

Topics include:

  • Content creation and distribution: How to create platform-specific content that resonates.

  • Personal branding: How to build an online presence that stands out.

  • Social media marketing: What's working (and not) on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.

Episode duration: 10-40 minutes

Frequency: Twice weekly

Many marketing podcasts provide the theory behind human behavior and marketing strategies, and tips on how to leverage both. But sometimes, I want to hear about what it looks like when those theories are put to practice. And that's what you get with The Marketing Millennials, hosted by Daniel Murray.

Take the podcast's mini series Go-to Market Plays, for example. Each week, Daniel and his guest host Tamara Grominsky break down one go-to market strategy in 10 minutes or less. It's short and sweet, and filled with practical advice. Their main episodes are also filled with the same kind of actionable advice, but they're focused on broader topics—like how to start a YouTube channel and how to market complicated products.

Try this episode: Go-to Market Plays: How to execute a comeback campaign

The best marketing podcast for online business owners

The Amy Porterfield Show  hosted by Amy Porterfield

The Amy Porterfield Show, our pick for the best marketing podcast for online business owners.

Topics include:

  • Email marketing: How to grow your list, write better emails, and boost engagement.

  • Online business strategy: Planning, goal setting, and systems for building a scalable business.

  • Digital course creation: Step-by-step guidance on building, launching, and selling online courses.

Episode duration: 30-60 minutes

Frequency: Weekly

Building a business can be lonely—building an online one even more so. There's no one readily available to bounce ideas off of or work through challenges together. That's the gap host Amy Porterfield tries to bridge with her podcast The Amy Porterfield Show (previously Online Marketing Made Easy).

While OMME focused on early-stage business building, Amy's new show casts a wider net, exploring topics like how to revitalize your email marketing efforts and using identity-driven marketing to deepen brand loyalty. But the overall vibe is still classic OMME: warm, actionable, and engaging from start to finish.

One thing I miss from the OMME days: time stamps in the show notes. Instead, each episode now comes with three key takeaways. It's just as useful, but if I could have both, I'd take both.

The best marketing podcast for B2B marketers

B2B Marketing hosted by Dave Gerhardt

B2B Marketing, our pick for the best marketing podcast for B2B marketers.

Topics include:

  • B2B marketing strategy: Positioning, messaging, and go-to-market frameworks tailored for B2B.

  • Demand generation: How to build and scale programs that drive pipeline and revenue.

  • B2B case studies: Behind-the-scenes breakdowns of what's worked (and what hasn't) at B2B companies.

Episode duration: 10-40 minutes

Frequency: Twice weekly

After listening to a few episodes of B2B Marketing with Dave Gerhardt, it was clear to me why this highly-rated show is a go-to resource for B2B marketers.

Every episode makes me feel like I'm sitting at an intimate roundtable discussion with Dave and his guest. And I walk away from each episode with practical marketing strategies and career growth advice. Episodes normally run close to an hour, but you can click any of the timestamps—broken down in incredible detail—to jump to specific points of the chat that appeal to you.

The best marketing podcast for social media marketers

Social Media Marketing Talk Show hosted by Jerry Potter

Social Media Marketing Talk Show, our pick for the best marketing podcast for social media marketers.

Topics include

  • Social platform updates: Weekly rundowns of the latest changes to specific platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Algorithm changes: What shifts in the algorithm mean for marketers and how to adapt your social media strategy accordingly.

  • Social media best practices: Tips for staying visible, improving engagement, and driving traffic.

Episode duration: 15-30 minutes

Frequency: Weekly

It's hard to keep up with the changing rules of social media. Does the algorithm prefer short- or long-form videos? What about "raw" videos versus highly-edited ones? Should you be the first reply to every Instagram comment—or just throw a controversial hot take into the void and let the rage comments do the engagement work for you? That's where the Social Media Marketing Talk Show with Jerry Potter comes in.

New episodes drop weekly, with each one focusing on the latest rules and trends for a specific platform, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This is especially helpful if you want to get updates only for the platforms you're trying to win on.

A great podcast to pair with this one is Social Media Marketing (SMM), hosted by Michael Stelzner (they're both Social Media Examiner productions). Where the Social Media Marketing Talk Show gives you high-level app updates, trending strategies, and platform rules du-jour, SMM goes deeper, explaining how to pivot your social strategy to match.

The best marketing podcast for growing a small business

The Goal Digger Podcast hosted by Jenna Kutcher

The Goal Digger Podcast, our pick for the best marketing podcast for growing a small business.

Topics include:

  • Lead generation: How to create offers—like webinars, free downloads, or challenges—that pull your audience deeper into your funnel.

  • Social media strategies: Tips for growing your audience and converting followers into customers.

  • Online course and digital product creation: Step-by-step advice on creating and launching digital offerings.

Episode duration: 45-60 minutes

Frequency: Twice weekly

I don't usually take marketing advice from just anyone on the internet. But Jenna Kutcher, the host of The Goal Digger Podcast, is so relatable that it's easy to trust her. Listening to any episode feels like meeting up with a friend—someone who's a few steps ahead and happy to share what's worked (and what hasn't).

If you're just getting your business off the ground or trying to grow a small operation, The Goal Digger Podcast digs into the marketing strategies you actually need: audience building, email list growth, content creation, launching digital products, and growing your brand online. It also includes a healthy rotation of the less glamorous side of running a small business: burnout, self-doubt, and juggling a personal life.

Episodes are a mix of solo advice, interviews, and behind-the-scenes looks into how Jenna runs her own business. It's approachable, thoughtful, and refreshingly transparent.

Try this episode: Validate before you create: Stop wasting time on offers that don't sell

The best marketing podcast for inclusive marketing strategies

Inclusion and Marketing hosted by Sonia Thompson

Inclusion and Marketing, our pick for the best marketing podcast for inclusive marketing strategies

Topics include

  • Inclusive marketing strategies: How to create marketing that resonates with diverse audiences and communities.

  • Building brand loyalty: How inclusive practices lead to stronger relationships and customer loyalty.

  • Representation in marketing: Why representation matters and how to do it authentically.

Episode duration: 15 to 30 minutes

Frequency: Weekly

To reach a wider audience, you have to speak to their needs. To speak to their needs, you have to understand their unique perspectives. Every episode of Inclusion and Marketing, hosted by Sonia Thompson, shows you how to weave inclusion into every part of your marketing strategy—from your brand messaging and customer experience to your content and community building.

Instead of treating inclusion like a one-off campaign, Sonia teaches you how to embed it into your entire marketing foundation. She shares clear, tactical advice on representing diverse audiences authentically, building customer loyalty through trust, and creating marketing experiences where everyone feels like they belong. It's one of the few marketing podcasts that shows you not just why inclusion matters but how to make it a real growth strategy.

The best marketing podcast for bite-sized episodes

MarTech Podcast hosted by Benjamin Shapiro

MarTech Podcast, our pick for the best marketing podcast for bite-sized episodes.

Topics include

  • Marketing technology tools: Deep dives into the latest martech platforms and how to use them effectively.

  • Customer acquisition and retention: Strategies for attracting new users and keeping them engaged.

  • Industry insights and expert interviews: Conversations with marketing leaders on trends, challenges, and what's next in marketing tech.

Episode duration: 5-15 minutes

Frequency: Daily, Monday to Thursday

Some days, I'm fully in the mood for deep-dive interviews. Other days, I want the podcast equivalent of a protein bar—quick, focused, and immediately useful. The MarTech Podcast hosted by Benjamin Shapiro offers exactly that.

Episodes drop daily, Monday through Thursday, with the same guest featured throughout the week. It's what gives the show a unique rhythm. Instead of cramming everything into one long episode, you get daily, bite-sized episodes that focus on ultra-specific topics or questions.

Take the direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing series with Kelley Thornton, founder of the skincare company Tiege Hanley, for example. In one episode, they discuss the evolution of DTC marketing, and in another, Kelley shares his take on the best pricing strategy for DTC brands.

Try this episode: Are subscription models the best pricing strategy for DTC brands?

The best marketing podcast for narrative storytelling

Under the Influence hosted by Terry O'Reilly

Under the Influence, our pick for the best marketing podcast for narrative storytelling.

Topics include

  • Marketing psychology: How ads tap into emotions, perceptions, and decision-making.

  • Inside looks at iconic ad campaigns: Deep dives into the strategy and execution of famous (and infamous) ads.

  • Trends and shifts in consumer behavior: How technology, social movements, and media habits influence the marketing landscape.

Episode duration: 30 minutes

Frequency: Weekly

Many of the podcasts listed in this article follow a similar interview-style format. But if you prefer more of a narrative style, Terry O'Reilly, host of Under the Influence, does a fantastic job of telling captivating stories with a little humor.

While O'Reilly doesn't outright tell you "do this, not that," each episode offers a clear throughline of marketing strategies that fueled the growth behind the most prolific businesses.

If you've never listened to an episode of Under the Influence, I suggest fast-forwarding to roughly three-and-a-half minutes in so you can skip the introductory ad reads and an unnecessarily long theme song.

Try this episode: Two minutes for looking so good: Star athlete endorsements

The best marketing podcast for understanding human behavior

Hidden Brain hosted by Shankar Vedantam

Hidden Brain, our pick for the best marketing podcast for understanding human behavior.

Topics include:

  • Human behavior and decision-making: The unconscious factors that drive customer choices—and how you can better align your messaging to match.

  • Cognitive biases and psychology: How mental shortcuts influence buying decisions, brand loyalty, and customer trust.

  • Culture and society: How broader cultural trends and shifts shape consumer behavior.

Episode duration: 45-60 minutes

Frequency: Weekly

I'm going to veer away from traditional marketing topics for a minute, but I promise it's worth it. Shankar Vedantam hosts Hidden Brain, which explores unconscious patterns that drive human behavior. While you won't hear any explicit marketing strategies here, marketers will absolutely benefit from understanding why humans behave the way they do. Plus, the topics are downright fascinating.

Unlike other interview podcasts, Shankar weaves external audio clips into episodes that add context to the guest's story and elevate the content. For example, instead of simply introducing a guest, he shares audio clips from actual news coverage from a pivotal moment in the guest's life.

Try this episode: When to pivot

The best marketing podcast for inspiring stories

How I Built This hosted by Guy Raz

How I Built This, our pick for the best marketing podcast for inspiring stories.

Topics include:

  • Entrepreneurial journeys: Founders share how they started their companies, including the early challenges and pivotal moments.

  • Innovation and product development: The process behind creating and refining a product or service.

  • Brand building and marketing: How companies grew their audience and differentiated themselves—perfect inspiration for crafting your own brand and customer loyalty campaigns.

Episode duration: 1 hour

Frequency: Twice weekly

If you're looking for inspiring stories of how entrepreneurs built their successful brands, look no further than How I Built This, hosted by seasoned journalist Guy Raz. It's not a marketing podcast per se, but each episode offers plenty of insights on brand building, audience growth, and innovation—all essential ingredients for any marketer looking to understand what drives real business success.

In the past year, they've started dropping episodes twice a week: one where Guy chats with the guest about their background, how they grew their business, and challenges along the way; another called Advice Line where Guy and the guest mentor answer caller questions about specific business challenges.

What I like most about this podcast is that Raz interviews business leaders across various industries—from iconic skincare brands and clothing companies to prolific media platforms and dating apps. With over 700 episodes to choose from, there's bound to be one that you like.

How to get the most out of marketing podcasts

You may listen to marketing podcasts just for fun or as background noise to fill the gaps in your day. But if you want to use marketing podcasts to grow your company, learn new skills, or get inspired, here are some tips for leveraging what you learn.

  • Keep a notepad for insights. It doesn't matter if it's physical, digital, or a collection of voice memos—track what stands out. It'll help the information stick, and you might gain new perspectives by combining notes from multiple podcasts. Notes that you take on a topic might not apply when you listen to the episode, but having the note to reference when a challenge comes up prepares you.

  • Search for episodes on specific topics. Broaden your horizons and look for episodes beyond your go-to shows. Use the search function of podcast directories to find episodes about a specific problem or opportunity, like "measuring blog performance" or "influencer marketing basics."

  • Leverage episode extras. Some podcasts offer transcripts, downloadable guides, and summaries for each episode. Reviewing these extras gives you even more info and can replace listening to the full episode if you're short on time (or attention span 🙋🏻‍♀️).

  • Look for inspiration everywhere. You don't have to stick to marketing podcasts to get marketing ideas. For example, a business-focused episode from Decoder with Nilay Patel might give you insights into how to navigate a challenge.

  • Schedule time to listen to an episode. At Zapier, we're encouraged to participate in learning and development opportunities—whether it's taking a course, attending a workshop, or even listening to a podcast. By scheduling shorter episodes, like the bite-sized ones from MarTech Podcast, into my work calendar, I'm more likely to actually make time for this task

Find the best marketing podcast for you

You can't know what marketing podcast is the best until you give it a try. The most highly-rated podcast isn't always the best (for you), and your preferences can change with the seasons. If this listening experiment taught me anything, there's no shortage of insight and content waiting to be discovered. So go forth and listen.
