4 ways to automate WebinarJam with Zapier

Webinars are a great way to incorporate events into your marketing strategy. They're easy for participants to access, easy to repeat at different times, and cost very little to run. Plus, with WebinarJam, you can let participants interact via live chat, use flexible scheduling to run webinars in extra time zones, and more—so your webinars can be seamless to plan and just as engaging as an in-person event.

As rich as it is in features, however, there are some things WebinarJam can't do. It can't track webinar attendees through the sales funnel, correlate webinar registrations with future purchases, or send complex email marketing campaigns to registrants. You'll need other apps to get those tasks done.

Automatically create contacts and leads from WebinarJam registrants

Webinars are just one piece of your marketing and sales funnel. Tying all those touchpoints together happens in your customer relationship management (CRM) tool. Your CRM is only as good as the information in it, however, so keeping it up to date with the latest webinar data (like registrant information) is crucial. 

But if you're running a sophisticated events marketing strategy, the amount of registration data coming in is more than you can reasonably copy and paste. Rather than updating your CRM manually, you can streamline the process with a little automation.

Worried about creating a bunch of duplicate contacts? No problem! If your CRM tool doesn't automatically look for existing contacts in the action step, you can add a search step that looks for existing contacts if there's a matching webinar attendee rather than creating a duplicate. 

Track your WebinarJam registrations in a spreadsheet

If you're running a lot of events, spreadsheets quickly become your best friend. They let you easily store and analyze data, so you can get insight into who's attending your events, how long they stay for, who your repeat attendees are, and much more.
